Summary: It was like taking a step back in history staying at this house. Was nervous at first with our 1.5 year old as there are lots of antiques that were quite breakable, but for the most part the kids hung out in the TV room off the kitchen which was much more "young child" friendly. Was neat to peruse the house and see all the old things all around. Bedrooms and everything worked out great for the two families that stayed there. Could even watch the downtown (new years) fireworks from our window, so the kids got a kick out of that. Everything was very clean and orderly all around.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was a step back to another century and the rooms were furnished to the period of the house. The beds were comfortable, the rooms large and the host accomodating. We had great internet. There are 2 TV's in the house, which we did not use. My only criticism was the fridge - our produce froze no matter the adjustment. However, I hear that this fridge will soon be replaced. Coffee shops and the Capitol building were 7 blocks away. Our family toured Lincoln's Tomb and the Dana Thomas House. Other Lincoln places are not far from there. The house sits on a corner, so there is some traffic noise at night. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood in the evening. There is a tub downstairs and shower upstairs. The features of the house are beautiful and there are lots of little nooks to discover. If you're looking for sleek and modern, this isn't the house for you. But if you like stepping back in time to another era, this is a lovely house. It was a great choice for our family.

Summary: I've always wanted to stay in an old house like this! Thank you so much for opening your home up for others to enjoy. We absolutely loved exploring the home and enjoyed all the personal touches and history of the home and its inhabitants. Communication from the host was outstanding. The location was perfect, you could walk or bike to the Lincoln Library and Museum or any of the restaurants in the area. The house itself was fantastic and as others have mentioned it has its quirks but nothing that would ruin your stay here. It's just how older homes are. The beds were very comfortable and there were extra quilts/blankets in case you get chilly. They were well stocked with items you might forget to pack and of course all the basics were there. The porch on the side of the house was a fun little area to hang out and watch passersby. We highly recommend!

Summary: This house is amazing if you like historic old homes. I didn’t want to leave. The location is fantastic and I rode my bike to all the Lincoln sites. The bike was the best thing I did. It allowed me a more personal feeling for the area. I would not hesitate to stay in this wonderful home and city again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with me.
