Positive: Was a “posh/expensive” hotel; but we were treated fabulously well. All staff wanted to help and chat to us…even cleaning staff had a smiling hello. And unlike some hotels NO pushing for us to buy extra stuff. Sitting by the pool, staff would help re towels and bring free water, ices, food etc during the day…with only one attempt to say did we want a menu for the food. The exact right balance from our perspective.

Positive: The outstanding customer service, from every part of the hotel, nothing felt too much trouble, everyone was sincere and had a genuine caring attitude, it’s a real testament to the hotel. The view out over the bay from our hotel room was sublime.

Positive: Amazing liocation and it smelt amazing! Superb breakfast, really well equipped room and superb staff. Concierge went above and beyond helping with visas etc.

Negative: The service was not what I expected of a 5 star hotel. I paid for one of the best rooms with a view of the Marina Bay however no chairs on the balcony only one foot stool and a very small table. When I requested 2 chairs (with arms due to my partner have mobility issues) they brought me an extra computer chair on wheels and said (of course) it wasn’t safe for balcony.They then fobbed me off stating they didn’t have chairs with arms not even in the restaurant. When I viewed the ad on booking .com there was clearly chairs on the balcony so I had to go to reception and insisted I get chairs having paid so much for an expensive room with a view and balcony I should be able to sit out on it. Eventually chairs were provided however late that evening I went to the roof top bar and they had lots of similar chairs. It was also frustrating that the cleaner came at all different times of the day and always when we just returned to the room. One day we were out all day while 3pm and the room had not been cleaned. We had to chase up towels, coffee, milk etc. We spent 3 nights in the hotel and on the day of checkout, which was early we were never asked if we would like help with our luggage or whether we required a taxi etc. There was a mini bar in the room but no ice provided or instructions as to where to get ice from. Just lots of little things which shouldn’t be happening if 5 star hotel. We had just spent 9 nights in a 5 star hotel in Koh Samui which was out of this world. We decided to have a couple of nights in Singapore on the way home also in a 5 star hoteI. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for the room expecting 5 star treatment but I didn’t. Very disappointed.

Positive: This hotel is fantastic. Staff are exceptional. Facilities are great. Food is amazing. Breakfast superb. Pool area is really nice and lovely bar in the evening. Super located and the views across to marina bay are amazing
Negative: Pool could have more sunbeds with umbrellas and gym could be a little bigger. We loved the Fullerton however
