Welcome to the Funky Fish Shack
The Funky Fish Shack is a unique vacation rental located in the centrally located Cape Harbor Community with views of the harbor. The Funky Fish Shack is a bi-level home with a unique vacation feel in the walking distance to many great restaurants, shops and entertainment in front of your doorsteps.
The Funky Fish Shack decorated with a fun twist and many unique and special features.
Upon entering the home on the ground level, you have a Queen Bedroom Suite located with a private balcony, full bathroom and small kitchenette with a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The first floor kitchen is the heart of the home, open to the living room and balcony which is an extension of the living space that is expanding and having amazing northwestern facing views that offer great views of the harbor and sunset during the summer months. While enjoying the balcony with the conversation area or the sun lounges you can enjoy amazing vistas of the harbor while watching yachts cruise by. Fishing tours, fishing, Manatee or Dolphin tours are many of the great options that you can take advantage from this location.
You can grill some burgers, enjoy dinner al fresco style on the large terrasse or just relax and enjoy the main bedroom suite that is also located on the second level with a large en-suite bathroom with a shower and bathtub area that is uniquely set up.
If you have additional guests, you can also take advantage of the second king bedroom suite that is a standalone bedroom with its own private access, a toilet and sink with an outdoor shower. I did say this is a very "funky" and unique style home which is a very different experience from your usual vacation rental in Cape Coral.
The Villa can fit up to 6 guests ( sleeper couch in ground level king bedroom if needed) very comfortable with this set up.
For your convenience, all linens for your stay are included and long-term stays are permitted.
Wireless internet, and a washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.
The home also offers access to the community pools one of them is heated and one of them is not heated located by the Clubhouse and the second one located behind the Coffee Shop and Shopping Street at Cape Harbor.
The Funky Fish Shack also has its own boat slip if you like to rent or bring your own boat.

Summary: We were familiar with the area and always wanted to stay in one of the Fish Houses. It is a great location for restaurants, live music and great views! We had a wonderful trip!

Summary: The property was nice, but it does not work well for families with young kids. The listing describes the house as having 3 bedrooms, but it is actually a 2 bedroom house. We went with our three young kids and my parents, so it was a challenge staying here.The main area is the top floor with the master, a nice kitchen and living area with an amazing deck. The queen bedroom and bathroom require going down 2 flights of stair and then back up a separate flight to get to it, which was not great. The third bedroom is not accessible from inside the house - it requires you to go through the garage, out the back door and down the outside stairs, through a gate to the back of the house down by the water, and there is a separate room with half bath down there. We did not realize this, and it did not work for our family with young kids, who ended up sleeping on an air mattress upstairs in the master bathroom next to us in the master. It could work much better with older kids.On the positive side. The living space was comfortable with nice furniture and cooking items. The deck was amazing and had a nice Weber grill and comfortable chairs. The location is great, right next to the harbor with several restaurants and some small shops. We ended up renting a boat from a place within walking distance which was very convenient.The property manager was great to work with. She checked in on us and visited to help with any questions or needs.
