This adorable, custom built, mid century home has been in the family since the 1950’s. It belonged to Billy and Marie George who built the house and lived in it their entire lives. The house was inherited by their great nephew’s family and it is our joy to share this sweet home with you.
The George House has been meticulously kept for the last 70 years and much of it is original. We do ask that you treat her with respect and care. The pictures throughout the home are of Billy, Marie, their son Larry and beloved dog Queenie. If you look closely you will see many of the same original furnishings and colors; Marie LOVED pink.
We do not allow smoking in the house although we do allow smoking on the porch, just please keep the kitchen door closed when smoking on the porch. We do not allow pets of any kind in the house. Children of all ages are welcome.
It is conveniently located in the heart of Elysburg, 2 minutes from the Ralpho Township Community Park and Farmers Market and just 5 minutes from Knoebles Amusement Park. If you love the outdoors you're also just 7 Minutes away from Roaring Creek Watershed with miles of trails and lakes to explore. It's also just over an hour away from the Harrisburg International Airport making it the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway.

It is fully stocked with cutlery, dinnerware, cookware and appliances: Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, Microwave, Keurig Coffee Maker, Garbage Disposal.
Washer/Dryer:
There is a full size washer and dryer located in the cellar.

Summary: When you walk in to this adorable house you walk back in time. It was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable and have an affordable vacation. It's only 5 minutes from knoebels so that was perfect. I hope we can stay here again some day. Owners are great with communication too! I would definitely rate this place Excellent 👌 💯!!

Summary: Our family had a lovely time staying at this house. It was clean and spacious, with WiFi and heat/AC. We were delighted by the furnishings — original 1950's and '60's décor. We appreciated the ample parking, and the quick (3 minute) drive to Knoebel's.

Summary: This house was exactly as advertised and perfectly located to Knoebel's (which is why we were visiting.) We really enjoyed our stay and found everything to be very nice. My only constructive thought would be to turn down the AC on the day of check in- when we arrived at the house at 9 pm, it was extremely warm.

Summary: The George House was a welcoming and calm place to land at the end of each day. Everything was clean, the atmosphere was like we were visiting one of our own relatives, and the available amenities made it SO easy to cook and clean up after our meals. The owners responded to any questions promptly and with good detail. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a quiet and lovely place to rest while away from home.
