Summary: this chalet is perfect, bit reluctant to praise it to highly as it would be booked for the next time we want to stop there, but it really was. Family of 15, 8 adults and 7 children, facilities all laid out on one floor and perfectlly set for ski-ing. Hosts were always easy to contact and available, and their knowledge of Alp DHuez was superb.. Position was also great, being 100-200 yards from ski lift, 50 yards from ski hire shop, bars and restaurants, and if there was any noise from them we didnt hear, so would have thought it might be soundproof. as i have said overall BRILLIANT.

Summary: The Golden Rock should not be overlooked, this chalet gives you everything and more than you could possibly want for a relaxing stay for large families without living on top of each other. The space is cleverly designed and the photos do not do this property justice. We were 5 families of 16 people and this spacious chalet ticked every box. A very well equipped kitchen with everything you need and more For cooking large amounts for big groups, the rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms and amazing Italian showers, a ski & boot room with warmers for all the equipment, plus a very large entrance to hang and dry all the coats and trousers. The hot tub was lovely to come home to and relax after a hard day on the slopes whilst having a draft beer from the beer machine. Location is perfect, with access to 2 lifts within 100m, a boulangerie next door for fresh croissants and cakes, bars, restaurants and ski hire all on your door step. Jean and his family are what made this stay extra special, they welcomed us and nothing was ever too much for them, any problem day or night they are on hand, even for changing the beer keg. We have been staying across the alps for the last 20 years as a large group and This is by far the best property we have ever stayed in, we have even enquired into rebooking for next year, as the group loved it so much. A huge thank you to Jean and his family for giving us a million pound experience and we cant wait to visit the Golden Rock Next year.

Summary: We were three families (15 people) sharing the apartment and everyone agrees this is a fantastic place. It is equipped with everything you need (and more). It is very nicely done and as there are 5 bedrooms, five bathrooms and a big social area the place never felt crowded. To add the room for skiis and boots is fantastic and well thought through. The location is excellent. We came with Ben's Buses from Grenoble airport and the bus stopped 20 metres from the apartment, very convenient. Also to get to the lifts you have 2 ways to choose from, both located on very short walking distance to the apartment and coming home from the slopes, if there is enough snow, you can almost ski all the way. I am happy to recommend this place to anyone who wants to live very comfortably in a beatiful and very nice apartment!
