Positive: Exceeded my expectations - the property is very tastefully appointed and the lodge area itself above our room (Serenity) was a lovely place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Idyllwild. Walking distance to the better restaurants (Ferro, Aroma). Two hot tubs on the property to use which is a big plus.
Negative: Both hot tubs needed a bit more water while one was a bit too hot, the other did not appear to be as clean. Otherwise there is little not to like at this location.
Summary: A perfect place to prepare and recover from hiking up to Mount San Jacinto!

Negative: Initially we got placed in the ambiance room. We went searching for dinner and discovered during our dinner that it was urgent we contact the facility. Wi-Fi isn’t the best in the area so we didn’t discover what was going on until we returned . We were placed in the wrong room and moved to the getaway room. Needless to say we were disappointed. It was our anniversary weekend and the ambiance room came with a nice tub. Management could have offered us at least a bottle of wine for the mistake. The getaway room was nice but the toilet didn’t work very well and it didn’t come with a nice tub. I am sure we will return to the lodge. Despite the mix up we loved the place. We will probably return.
Summary: Lovely, nice place to relax.

Positive: Loved the luxurious homey feel. After hours of driving it was so lovely to land at accommodation that felt like home.
Negative: That we had to move on with our travels. If we had known how wonderful it was we would have organised to stay longer.

Positive: The location was great and both the room and lodge were beautiful and welcoming. All the employees we met were very friendly and helpful. The French toast breakfast was really good.
Negative: There were used trial sized shampoo and bath soap bottles in our shower when we first walked in and a black hair inside one of the glass cups in our bathroom. Most things were clean but the bathroom looked like it was a bit overlooked.
Summary: A fun, relaxing and challenging mountain getaway with my wife.
