Summary: Quirky old building hence the slightly lower mark for maintenance. We arrived early and were offered another room in which to change and leave our luggage, which the staff moved to our assigned room when it was ready. This was at midday service was not really expected. There was no extra charge either. Staff discovered it was my wife’s birthday and gave her a free very nice pudding as a complete surprise. Highly recommended.

Summary: Stayed here for the night with my partner and it was lovely. The staff were excellent and very friendly, really went above and beyond. The room was spacious and clean and the food was beautiful! Would definitely come back to stay again!

Summary: Only stayed one night for a nearby wedding. Alison was massively helpful due to a number of guests staying there but not having time to collect room keys during the day. Very accommodating. Rooms were neat and clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast choice of continental and cooked. All the staff were cheery and helpful.

Summary: Lovely typical country pub / hotel. Very friendly welcome, room and bathroom were very clean. Good tea / coffee facilities and homemade biscuits were a bonus. Breakfast was excellent, wish we'd had time to taste lunch or dinner as it smelled fab. Next time we are visiting family nearby we will be back. Thank you
