Positive: Absolutely gorgeous. Larger than usual shepherds hut, with fixed bed plus sofa/dinning area. Fabulous location in a field with horses. And beautiful view. All very clean and tidy. Very easy to find just outside a beautiful village with a little shop. Very handy for walking the Ridgeway and White Horse Hill. Plenty of parking and a flat grass area for games and BBQ etc. Idilic!
Negative: All good.

Positive: Beautiful hut in a lovely peaceful location, very clean inside, only downside was somebody had left the BBQ filthy, fortunately we had our own. The horses in the field are very friendly and was lovely watching them. Lovely welcome gift of Prosecco, Milk, Biscuits, Tea, coffee & sugar. Bed was quite comfy. Shower was lovely & powerful. We went in the heatwave and spent the day moving around the Hut chasing the shade so no real escape when really hot. But was a beautiful stay, we spent our evenings watching the moon rise with a fire pit, once cooled down, the wildlife is lovely with regular sightings of the Buzzards & Red Kites.

Positive: Superbly appointed and well equipped quirky shepherds hut. Warm and comfortable with amazing views even sitting up in bed! Situated in lovely Oxfordshire countryside but near enough to local shops. Owner and family live on site very approachable and helpful.we’ll be back!

Positive: It was neat, tidy and cosy. They had everything we needed for our stay. The area had stunning views from the hut.
Negative: It was chilly in the early morning and late evening and although there was a small heater, it didn’t really warm the place up. There was a log burner but for the short time heat was required it wasn’t worth it. This however did not detract from the cosiness of the hut.
Summary: Lovely hut, idyllic location and just right for our needs.

Positive: The location is fabulous and ideal if you want to explore the area. The shepherd's hut is in general well equipped with a hob and microwave. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and as I have a bad back that was really important for me. Dogs are welcomed and the location is ideal provided your dog is well behaved. There were no livestock around at the time that I was there in February but there is access to a road should your dog be one that wanders a long way and doesn't have good recall.
Negative: I am short at only 5' and luckily had taken a step with me having seen how high the bed was and because I had hurt my back. I was very glad I had because otherwise I would not have been able to reach mugs or glasses as they are in cupboards that are quite high (for me!). There were plenty of glasses but only two mugs so another couple of mugs would be useful.
Summary: A perfect week.
