Positive: We liked the location of the flat, near to the town centre, with convenient parking and walking distance to various shops, takeaways (although you can use Just Eat or Clyde Eats) and train station. The flat is on the top floor but this to me is an advantage as you don't have the issue of noisy neighbours above you or the noise of people going up and down the stairs. The decoration of the flat was nice, appears spacious, bright and airy. Loved that it has the tartan style wallpapers and the black out blinds in all the rooms. The lamps in the living room were nice at night time rather than the main ceiling lights. The bed covers were all clean and the towels provided were just enough and are helpful. Plenty of storage space in the cupboards in the kitchen, a decent sized fridge freezer and a washer dryer should you need it (the whole kitchen rattles when it spins!). Wardrobes had ample hangers. There was a hair dryer, a steamer, an iron and ironing board. There were extension sockets in most of the rooms so you didn't need to go hunting for plugs. (Though there was no shaving socket in the bathroom if that's important to you). There was also a travel cot in the main bedroom though we didn't use it. The heating controls were easy to understand and use, the flat warmed up well and stayed warm despite the gap under the front door. There is plenty of hot water to be able to bath/ shower an entire family (we stayed as a party of 3 x Adults, 2 x Children) as I think it is heated through the boiler and not using a tank. The carpets were all hoovered, the floors were clean but we did have to clean all the oven trays to use them as they were greasy and had food bits on them. The TV in the living room was a good sized Samsung that we could access streaming services on (no free view as I assume they don't want to pay the extortionate ridiculous licence fees).
Negative: I saw other reviewers comment about the entrance and landing not being so great, unfortunately that's just a reflection of the times. When I was a child people would take pride in keeping their landings and stairs clean, nowadays no one really bothers. It wasn't too bad when we visited, at least the door entry system was working and the doors locked behind you. With regards to the flat, there were a few things that needed improving that could have made our visit better. We were left only a face cloth in the kitchen for cleaning our dishes (there was washing liquid) and only one tea towel for the entire 5 night stay. We were left no toilet roll whatsoever, not even one or a partial one left over. Luckily I had some tissues in my bag for my child that was bursting by the time we got there. The fan above the toilet is held together with tape and absolutely caked with dust. We also had an issue with the Cistern leaking into the toilet and constantly refilling every 5 mins or so. It wasn't so bad during the day when we were around and not out exploring but it was very noticeable at night time when we were trying to sleep. It seemed to get louder and more frequent towards the end of our stay. My husband complained about the "Emma" mattress in the front double room (he is 6ft 7"/ about 20 stone), said he couldn't get comfortable and felt the mattress sagging, got a sore back. We had an issue with the wheelie bin for the flat being full. We stored our bins in the kitchen until we left and put them in someone else's. To make it more homely, the kitchen could do with some more bits and bobs, an oven glove (!!), a bowl or two for microwaving and prepping food, a measuring jug, few more utensils, small pots, etc. Also, the table lamp shades in all the rooms need replacing.
Summary: Bright, airy flat with plenty of space for a family or larger group.

Positive: N/A
Negative: The stairwell was unclean and unwelcoming, with a distinct smell of cannabis during our entire stay. The toilet cistern was slowly running all the time which resulted in a constant sound of water refilling the toilet, especially noticeable through the night, disturbing a full nights sleep
Summary: We were happy with the interior of the flat but did not appreciate the entrance and stairwell.
