Positive: Quiet rural location with beautiful garden setting views and landscape beyond. Chickens were quietly clucking away in their pen on our arrival and the cottage was super clean and homely. Josie, the host, was lovely and happy to assist with any questions or requests, didn't need the latter as everything was thought of already.

Positive: The Hen House is a terrific little getaway place, especially if you are a fan of chickens! The unit is a good-size stand-alone cabin on the property, out in the country (the wop-wops, for kiwis, boonies for Canadians). The grounds are terrific – flowers, native plants, a chicken coop (naturally), some funky artwork on the back fence, etc. The hospitality was very welcoming. It was slightly challenging to get there, in that the last few miles of road are a bit rough, but it’s well worth the banging about. We’d go back in a minute.
