This stunning Highland home is a beautiful combination of stone, glass and timber.
We are one of the few Southern Highlands homes with a pool.
The Highlands House uses design features and classic styling with the large group in mind.
We have an oversized entertaining room, 3 slow combustion wood heaters and reverse-cycle air conditioning.
The decks give rural views over glorious gardens, dam, swimming pool, spa and sauna.
The Highlands House is located only a short distance from the Colo Vale exit on The Hume Motorway 90 minutes south of Sydney. We are 10 minutes to Mittagong, 15 minutes to Bowral and 20 minutes to Berrima.
Gorgeous polished floorboards in the living area give the country feel.
Our roaring wood fire will keep you warm while the chefs in the kitchen get into action.
We have a coffee machine, butler’s pantry, double dish drawer, high-end appliances and 5-burner gas stove top with chef’s oven.
The bathrooms are equally luxurious with two bathrooms having under floor heating.
The master suite has a king bed plus large single day bed overlooking the garden, a lovely sitting area around a slow combustion woodheater and en suite .
Bedroom 5 also doubles as a media room with gas fire heater, lounge suite and a large flatscreen tv.
The garden is nothing short of glorious. There are various “rooms” created with hedging, arbours, and various plantings of lemons, limes, apples, pears, grapes, roses and beautiful seasonal blossoms. Be sure to walk around to the front of the house and look back at the stunning stone wall and glass feature windows. There are beautiful nooks in which to sit and read, enjoy shade in summer and warm sunlight in cooler months.
There is an undercover bbq area and also a fully fenced swimming pool – perfect for summer entertainment (please be aware that Highland House has an Enviroswim freshwater swimming pool which uses a unique treatment technology, giving the water a slightly different appearance to chlorinated pools). If you would like the pool to be heated during your stay, it can be turned on for an extra cost as it is gas heated. If you would like to use sauna, it can be turned on for an extra cost. The Hot Tub is free to use. Outside the garden enclosure is a paddock with dam and some very curious and hungry vegetarian geese – be sure to send the scraps their way!

Summary: A beautiful house with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Was very warm and cosy during wintertime and the nearby animals were an extra touch the kids loved. Would recommend staying here with a large family or group.

Summary: This property was stunning! It was so well stocked with everything you could have needed. Beds were really comfy. Heated flooring in the bathrooms was great. Fantastic communal areas for people to hang out. You have to pay extra to use the sauna and turn the heating on in the pool, but not for the spa. There isn’t a tv in the main living area. We loved loved loved this house, we’ll be back for sure!

Summary: We recently stayed at this wonderful property and had an amazing time. The home was exceptionally clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Traveling with younger kids can be challenging, but this property made it a breeze. There was plenty of space for the children to play, and they especially loved the cubby house in the backyard, which provided hours of entertainment. The open layout and ample room made it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy their time together. The kids enjoyed feeding the animals in the morning and afternoon and Glad was great with the kids. The hosts were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this property for families looking for a stress-free getaway.

Summary: Absolutely amazing! Fully equipped home and very thoughtful hosts made our 3 night stay to celebrate 8 women all turning 60 an amazing experience. The home is beautifully decorated with super comfortable beds and multiple inside and outside zones to relax and/or party with friends. The hot tub was a bonus and would love to come back in the summer months to enjoy the beautiful pool.

Summary: From the moment we walked in this place is just immaculate. Glad had the fires going and the place was warm and cosy. You could not want anything extra at The Highland House. It exceeded all of our expectations and more.I could not fault a single thing. My Daughter had her wedding at Growwild which is only 7mins drive . This was the perfect place for stunning photos wonderful places for hair and makeup and plenty of room for 16 people. Space and luxury We will definitely be back

Summary: We stayed at the Highland House with 4 families, including 7 young kids. The house was stunning, it has everything you need and more. The hosts are really friendly and even took the kids to feed the animals each day. The pool and hot tub are a great addition. We’ll definitely be back.
