Summary: This sweet hotel close to Falling water and other amenities . Our first room smelled moldy, I went to the desk and they moved us immediately, the hotel overall has great facilities,!pool and restaurant and bar everything onsite. It’s all a bit dated but charming and quaint. Seemed to be the best in the area. My only other comment as far as the room is that the air conditioning was blowing directly on my side of the bed and there was no way to change the direction of vent and bathroom was big but nowhere to hang a towel or counter space/storage. Overall nice.

Summary: This is our second time at The Historic Summit Inn. Our stay this time was from July 2nd and leaving on July 4th. This was my birthday getaway. The place is Wonderful and the POOL, well that is fantastic. They had music on the porch on July 3rd and his voice was wonderful! We ate breakfast, lunch & dinner there and the food is delicious, hats off to the chef! We had a wonderful day the the pool, we went to Falling Waters on the 4th and ate breakfast that morning at Bittersweet and WoW is that place fantastic, the coffee is delicious and try the burrito breakfast wrap. I had a chocolate too for breakfast to celebrate me and so delicious. The sunset on the deck is perfect and so is The Historic Summit Inn. I would recommend to everyone.

Summary: What a disappointment. This is a very tired hotel with a very expensive dining menu, old tired rooms with uneven floors, not-great housekeeping service (we had crumbs from a previous guest covered with ants), too-low toilets, no in-room coffee makers or other perks you might expect today. Just so sad that this old hotel has seen better days. I wish I could say there were good things to recommend it, but I can’t think of any. We were going to stay a week but left after two days.

Summary: Historic old hotel - it shows its age in certain areas but it is full of character, and wonderful customer service.

Summary: I chose this hotel at the last minute, extending a work trip into a quick vacation. I am so glad we did! It's so much more than just a place to sleep for the night. The property was beautiful and the building itself was so interesting. I really appreciated the way the hotel has modern accommodations, while still maintaining many charming characteristics that make you feel as if you've stepped back in time. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the Veranda and breakfast the next morning in the dining room. Both meals were excellent! The staff was very friendly and someone was always at the front desk for any questions. It was a wonderful experience. If you are a fan of historical TV shows and wish to immerse yourself in one, you should stay here!

Summary: Though the rooms are on the smaller side, the hotel was extremely spacious, allowing my husband and I to always find a quiet corner or window seat to our selves. The staff was old time friendly, happy to serve or engage in friendly conversation. There is plenty to do on site during any season of the year. And the location allowed for endless options to eat out, hike or explore.

Summary: Everything was wonderful except for our dinner in the hotel restaurant. There was some weird wire in my salad and the waiter didn't offer to take it off my bill, just asked if I wanted another salad? Basically ruined the whole meal. And the food was marginal at best. I expected much better from this hotel.
