Positive: Location, location, location. We could walk to breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner w/in 5 min. We could walk to stores and the Hall of Fame Museum in 5 min. We could eat in one place and go to another for a drink without getting in a car or having to find a parking space.
Negative: TV was poor. Could not get our national news channel. Only a single key. No electronic key.
Summary: Very pleasant. Very quiet. Close to everything.

Negative: TV in the room was just a Roku (no cable). Not a huge deal but had to go to the bar to watch some sporting events. It was a little odd not having a front desk or much check-in communication. But the location was great and the room was perfect for our needs.

Positive: The location was perfectly convenient for our Cooperstown Dream park baseball adventure. The beds/pillows provided quality comfort.
Negative: Upon arrival, the room temperature was easily 80 degrees which took hours to lower to a tolerable comfortable environment. Being a perimenopausal woman traveling with her elderly father (85 years old) and 8 year old daughter , this issue made unpacking the car extremely uncomfortable. Our room was located on the 2nd floor and the building had no elevator! Unpacking a weeks worth of luggage, toiletries, and food from the car required several trips and was not only burdensome, but it also caused unexpected pain and an injury to my post surgical arm! I am no rookie traveler and not having an elevator to utilize my wagon for unpacking purposes was an unexpected problem! Also, there was no front desk to request immediate assistance. The “hotel” was a renovated office building with paper thin walls/floors. The room access door was hollow wood with only a poor quality lever handle lock (no deadbolt). There was no deadbolt or barrel bolt lock or chain lock and The upper door swing bar guard door lock was missing half of mounting hardware, so it was worthless. Only 1 room key provided by establishment. After unpacking our belongings and settling in for the night, I needed a refreshing cold shower. The towels were horrible, paper thin quality and felt like sandpaper on my skin. The body towel was not a standard size (maybe 2 foot by 4 foot) and not absorbent. We ended up purchasing beach towels from CVS to resolve this issue. Following my refreshing shower, my postoperative arm was aching, so I went searching for an ice machine to make an ice pack. The only ice machine available was broken and empty, so I had to make cubes and wait for our dorm size fridge to freeze the water. The hotel garbage was a tin can located at the entrance and the squirrels were constantly rummaging through it. The parking lot was a joke with one spot with an overgrown tree occupying infringing on part of the space.

Positive: Next door to the baseball hall of fame and in the middle of the village where the restaurants are located. Parking is included. When the crowds are present in the village. Parking can be difficult.
Negative: From the outside, this place does not look like much. It is behind an old buildiing with character and you may have doubts at first. But the room is fine and is close to everything in the village of Cooperstown.
