Summary: A lovely property in a great location. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and it's a great base for exploring the area with its fantastic vineyards. It took us a while to find a good boulangerie for our breakfast bread and croissants, but we did eventually find one in St Gengoux - worth the 11km round trip. If you like walking or cycling then you'll love the Voie Verte. Good places to visit: St Gengoux, Cormatin castle, Solutré, Cluny, Taizé, Beaune.

Summary: Nadine and Serge were excellent hosts and the gite was very clean and tidy and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking to unwind. The only things that were missing was some barbecue tools and a couple of sun loungers (relaxers), but other than that it was fab. Would recommend eating at Buxy in the Le Gare restaurant near the tourist information office, very good food and also in St Boil at the auberge opposite the hotel. There are lots to do in the area and the wine cave at St Gengoux is a must, no hassel into buying, they just let you wander around until you are ready to try the wine. Once again a big thank you to Nadine and Serge for an excellent time. Debbie and Simon.

Summary: Dear Nadine and Serge; thank you. We enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful 5 days in this wonderful part of Burgundy. Your Gite is a great base for exploring the Voies Vertes and local historical sites. Although we didn't fit this into our itinerary there is a wide range of and opportunity to visit and explore the vineyards of the Saone valley. Whether you are looking to enjoy good food and wine or get involved in an activity based holiday the gite provides the perfect base. Summary: This was our first-ever gite and, thanks to Nadine and Serge, it was a completely wonderful holiday. They made us feel very welcome and were always helpful, and offered great advice. The property is very well designed and equipped. We were very comfortable, and particularly enjoyed the little sun-trap garden. The location is ideal in the countryside with birdsong, while close enough to two supermarkets. We're very happily recommending this property to our friends, and the area too.

Summary: Nadine and Serge were first rate hosts whose welcome included a bottle of champagne. The facilities were excellent. They tailored information to our interests and went out of their way to show what Burgundy had to offer. This included included Nadine taking us on a guided tour of local historic sites - way above the call of duty but highly appreciated and enjoyed by us. The location is excellent for cyclists with the Voie Verte only 200 metres away, providing access to wonderful cycling to the north and south.

Summary: My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the quiet hamlet of Le Haut de Collonge, St Boil. Everywhere was so peaceful. The gïte was extremely well designed giving the impression of lots of space. The kitchen was really well equipped. The view was breath-taking and the garden area wonderful for relaxing. Nadine and Serge were extremely helpful, there if and when we wanted to ask them anything. We live just over 2 hours away near Geneva where life isn't as peaceful. It was great cycling - our own circuits or those of the Voie Verte. Picturesque historic villages were abundant. We'll be staying in touch with them.

Summary: We stayed five days at this clean, modern, well-equipped gite and enjoyed it immensely. Very comfortable sleeping in a bright and airy bedroom with ample storage space. Our hosts were the real delight, very friendly and helpful with advice on what to see and do. This is rolling pastoral land with a mix of vineyards, fields, beautiful small towns and many chateaux worth seeing. The old, old town St. Gengoux le National should not be missed and Friday market day in the old part of Chalon-sur-Saone was also very good. And Brancion ... We will definitely return

Summary: We arrived very tired and stressed after a long, difficult journey (over the Jura mountains at night!) to be made very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for Serge and Nadine and they 'made' our stay. Nadine took us on a guided tour of a medieval village, which we loved. Their hameau is very beautiful with medieval houses and has friendly locals to chat to, including an artist with a studio. The hameau is right on a 'chemin vert' - a former railway with a 'road' surface, perfect for walks and cycling. We made friends with 'Viktor' a lovely horse behind the house. The whole area is full of history, many chateaus, interesting ancient villages, vineyards, Romanesque churches, quiet roads, a perfect break!

Summary: Coming from Brazil for a stay in Europe, we had the privilege to start our trip at Saint Boil in Bourgogne for four days in April. We were surprised to find such a lovely place to stay in a tiny town on the wine route. It was conveniently situated with a magnificent view of the valley. The apartment is equipped with all you need and with beautiful taste. Nadine and Serge are lovely hosts, always asking if there is anything you need. They are very helpful in explaining and orienting your stay. We highly recommend their place. We were sad to leave and hope we can return some day.
