There is also a large yard and a firepit to sit around and talk about the exciting day you had exploring the eastern upper peninsula.

Summary: Beautiful location, right on the water. The house was clean and comfortable but needs to be updated. The toilet stopped working & was replaced during our stay. The whole place could use a deep clean & fresh coat of paint. Some updating AC could really elevate the place.

Summary: The location was great, easy to get to after crossing the bridge and not too far from St. Ignace. The cabin was nice, easily accommodated our family of 6. Deck is great for relaxing with lots of space and furniture. Appliances are newer and function as they should. There were games there to play and lots of movies to watch on rainy days. Theres a dock for your boat or kayaks. Water is shallow which is nice if you have little kids swimming; there is a ton of ducks so becareful of swimmer's itch. Fishing was really good, especially over near the boat launch, tons of perch. Quiet neighborhood, bugs were not bad at all. Only complaint would be that the humidity was so bad that the beds and clothing were always damp/wet feeling. One bathroom can be tricky with 6 people; bathroom was outdated and funky looking but it served it's purpose just fine...water pressure was great! Would definitely rent again and would recommend.

Summary: Everything is just as you would expect for a cottage. Lake is great, kitchen well supplied with utensils and dinnerware. Bring your own spices. You do need a boat. It was great without one, but would have been better with one. They don't have any rentals for boats with motors on this lake. The grille is charcoal (bring your own) but works well for 6-8 ppl. It was perfect for what we needed. Don't cook on the deck, way to windy usually... Only complaint I had, was the beds. Mattresses seemed decent, but no support under them. (Sorry, I sell beds for a living, so might be a little focussed lol) Also, all full sized beds, I think they listed one as a queen. So, just saw the chiropracter when I returned, not a deal breaker for sure. Overall a great experience, especially for our first attempt at this type of vacation.

Summary: The rental was exactly as described we had a wonderful time. Check-in and check out was smooth and simple. Communication with the property manager was excellent and she was very responsive. It rained pretty hard one of the days and the cabin was so well stocked with things to do for the kids. I would 100% recommend this vacation rental and the vacation rental company managing it. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in this very special cabin.

Summary: I absolutely loved it, super cute and clean. We had our boat right out the back door! The only down side was 1 toilet for 8 people so you had to be a little strategic. I would stay here again it was a great weekend!

Summary: We had a blast this past week. The cabin had the perfect up north feel! The trees between the properties offered a lot of privacy and shade. We brought the boat up, and everyone had such a great time at the dune/sandbar (which has a rope swing that the kids played on for hours.) The adults enjoyed beverages in the sun playing water games. Our 10 year old caught hundreds of perch throughout the weekend. The only minor downfall was how shallow the lake is bringing the boat back up which another review prepared us for that. It was the absolute perfect week, and perfect location. We can't say enough great things about The House That Jack Built. Thank you, Jack! 😉

Summary: We didn’t really like the 3 almost 4 star, not so many reviews but we liked the pics of the place and we decided to give it a chance. We had an incredible time, place is clean which me and family loved the most, honestly I don’t know why it does not have better reviews but I do recommend renting this place and I’m a really picky person but for the price this place is great.

Summary: We recently stayed at this cabin 4th of July week. It brought back a lot of great memories because we use to stay there for summer vacations growing up. We had a nice time and it’s located in a quiet spot. The only minor issue we had was our allergies. Not sure if there were pets there before or just dust. We were outdoors quite a bit so it wasn’t a huge issue. Overall we had a great time.
