Positive: We found Howe House quite dated but more than adequate for our 3 days stay. The house was spacious for the 9 of us with 4 bedrooms and foam mattress beds were incredibly comfortable with shower rooms good. Kitchen was a good size.
Negative: 9 ladies and not one hair dryer supplied in house. No electric kettle and the kettle had a blocked spout forcing us to boil water in saucepans. One shower door didn't close, indicating poor maintenance. The GPS location kept bringing Uber cabs to nearby Eastwood Apartments and then they'd drive off charging a cancellation fee. This happened 3 times.

Negative: Windows and doors weren’t secure. I called ahead of time to find out information about equipment in the house such as coffee maker, keurig, parking. The people answering the phones and answering the messages do not know about the property at all. The info that I was given was incorrect and they never got back with me. I had to keep contacting them

Positive: The location was in an ok part of town. We did have a homeless person walk by with a cart. The pool was nice but it sits in the middle (3 sides are surrounded by apartment buildings) of apartments. The location was close to the downtown area, but the time it took to get to the places listed in the advertisement was wrong. The person in the text answered my questions quickly, but I never heard from anyone about the cleanliness of the house. It is a beautiful old house that needs some TLC.
Negative: I wasn't sure how many parking spots were for the house. People from the apartments, people working at the apartments, and people going to the pool took up the spots quite often. The house was very dirty. There were cobwebs in the windows and the outside porch was filthy. It looked as if someone hadn't cleaned it for years. The screens were broken and full of cobwebs. I slept in the upstairs room and I wish I could attach pictures of the window seals. They were full of dirt, cobwebs, bugs, etc. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. There were bugs all over the house. The white decorative pillows were dirty. The top cover of my bedspread (wish I could attach pictures) had blood stains and yellow stains, it was gross. You will need to bring your own pan to cook in. They had two tiny pans that a previous guest had purchased (they were beat). The ice machine didn't work. We were left with two dishwasher cubes (some of the dishes were dirty upon arrival). We had to wash face cloths each day because there were not many of them. The bathrooms are much smaller than they appear. Overall, I was mostly disappointed in the cleanliness of the house.
