Located on the hidden gem that is the North Shore of Sand Point, The Lakehouse boasts 2200 sq ft of chalet for you to spread out and relax on your own private Lake Huron frontage.
Just 5 miles from Caseville, a cute beach town where you can find groceries, gas, drinks and some dining.
Outdoor is our favorite place to be. Hang out on the huge deck that overlooks the Lake Huron, kick around on the beachfront or jump in the lake for a swim! Explore the nearby Albert E Sleeper and Port Crescent State Parks, take a drive up the coast to Port Austin, do some fishing, golfing, or snow sports too.
Enjoy tons of indoor space in the open kitchen and dining for preparing meals with your friends and family. Kids will love to slumber in the loft and have incredible views of the lake through the vast wall of windows. Play some games or hunker down in front of one of the two Roku TV's that are available for you to stream your favorite subscriptions from.
Have a boat?
We have a place to dock on the canal directly across the street from the main property. There are various local launches in the area.
What does our Beach look like?
The north shore of Sand Point can provide some of the greatest beaches of the summer! However, Lake Huron water levels greatly influence how much beach most of us North Shore property owners actually get in a given year. When the lake levels are low we have a great sandy beach area, when they're high we do not. We can't predict nature so we always encourage people to take that into account wen booking their stay. Regardless of the water level, you will still have 75' of private shoreline access with never ending views that surround Charity Island!

Summary: Great location on sand point, amazing beach/access to water and plenty of space for our family to stay for a long weekend. My only feedback and why this is not 5 stars is the overall cleanliness of the house was lacking. We found mold in the coffee pot which means it had not been cleaned in quite some time, rugs were dirty, some of the linens smelled etc. Again not a deal breaker, we dealt with it and the communication with the owner was impeccable, just something that should be remedied going forward. Would stay again for the location/space. Great property and great owners. Thanks!

Summary: Our group of mostly senior citizens had a nice week here. The view from the dining table is spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The outdoor seating areas, on the balcony and on the lower level, were great for hanging out. We had fires in the fire pit twice. The only drawback was that getting down to the beach involved scrambling about 10 feet down a steep sandy cliff which two of our seniors were not able to negotiate.

Summary: I'd recommend this property for someone looking for close beach access and privacy. It was very cozy with the fireplace and the lake views are great. There's plenty of space and I really appreciated the 2nd fridge and entertainment area in the lower level. We had an issue with 2nd shower, but the hosts are very responsive and answered within a few minutes.

Summary: Perfect house for a getaway, it's right on the beach and sleeps lots of people! Wifi is pretty decent too if you have to get some work done. The owners are super communicative and the actual rooms and everything were very clean! The only downside is that it could use a good deep cleaning of the windows and some areas of the kitchen. There were a lot of spiders and spider webs in the rafters and in door frames leading outside. Honestly it bothered some of my friends but didn't really bother me. I would 100% stay here again. We rented towards the end of summer and the house is in a pretty wooded area so maybe they do the power washes at the beginning of summer and this is just how it gets by the end...? Again, it didn't bother me, but it bothered some people I was with. I'd say give the place a good deep cleaning and it would be perfect :)

Summary: Can’t say enough good things. We had a close group of adult friends who do a summer trip together every summer. This was one of the best places we have visited. The sandy bottom water is amazing. You can spend the whole day enjoying it. Joe and Michelle were awesome hosts. Great communication and professional! Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Summary: We took 7 adults and 7 kids up to The Lakehouse and had an amazing time in the house and in Lake Huron. The kids played in the water, on the sand bar, and on the beach for hours. Great place for the family!
