Summary: This farmhouse is literally in the middle of nowhere! Your neighbor is about a quarter of a mile away. Its a short drive to the local towns, great time to just reset the body and soul. My visit was on Veterans weekend and while I wasn't expecting so many flys stuck in this house, they did die off every few days!! I'll def be back and may just be a tradition now to visit.

Summary: We had my parents and my husband's mom with myself , our daughter and hubby for family day at the UW PLATTVILLE Campus with our son. This place was the cutest perfect amount of room for all of us to be together ❤️ instead of at a hotel. Nina was a great host too! Very friendly. The lighthouse was super cute to climb in and see pretty views! The sunrises are amazing! Excellent stay! Thank you!

Summary: Property is very well maintained all around. We stayed in the fall but will consider returning early summer for it’s beauty. The views from upstairs and lighthouse are awesome. Close to numerous small towns as well as Galena. Nina is very responsive and helpful.

Summary: The whole stay was delightful. We loved the views from the lighthouse. The only issue was there were a lot of dead flies at the back door and the entrance to the lighthouse. It's too be expected in a farmhouse, but took us by surprise when we first saw them

Summary: The owner is wonderful and very patient. I asked a ton of questions and she never made me feel like a bother. The property was beautiful. The light views were a dream. The house was cozy and inviting.

Summary: We loved the property. So secluded and not to far to drive for some adventures. My family really enjoyed the lighthouse. I am so happy we found this for our last minute getaway. The stargazing was out of this world.

Summary: This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a VRBO and it exceeded our expectations. Everything was thought of, provided for, and very clean. We loved the history of how a silo was turned into a lighthouse in the midst of corn and soy fields. Mists settling in the fields at dawn and cows mooing, watching the sunset and sunrise from the lighthouse, eating lunch on the deck overlooking the orchard of apples and grapes, playing ping ping, seeing the moon rise by the lighthouse as you sit by the bonfire, and watching the Queen’s Gambit on Netflix. We enjoyed the house so much, we never left to go to Dubuque on the second day like we planned. This is definitely a hidden gem! Can’t wait to come back again!
