Negative: The only thing we missed was a freezer but not a huge inconvenience.

Positive: We liked everything about The Little Flat. Yes, as the name suggests, it is small, but perfectly suitable for a single guest or like us, a couple. We had a 7 day stay here over half term in February 2025. Perfectly central location, and a 10 second walk from the front door of the flat, has you bang in the middle of the now thriving Barnard Castle, just a few metres away from Market Cross. The property has every possible amenity and facility you could ever need for your stay, and the intelligent use of all internal space in this quirky building is entertaining in itself. Very clever. Car parking pass included, for the duration of your stay, allowing you to use The Hole In The Wall car park behind the property, but 2 hours free parking is possible on the cobbled parking area immediately outside the flat. Effectively, if you get your vehicle on to those cobbles after 4pm, you don't need to move it until 11am next day. This is a huge benefit, as 'Barney' is a very busy place nowadays.....!! Mel, the host, is superb, and always at the end of the phone to answer any queries, however small, The goodies left in our 'welcome pack' were most welcome. We would thoroughly recommend this property, and whilst this was our 1st visit here, it is highly unlikely to be our last. Give it a go... You will not be disappointed...!! Well done Mel... 👍
