Positive: The location was perfect, there were tons to do nearby. Our family traveled from TX to participate in Cooperstown 2025. The breakfast cook (male) was awesome. He was very friendly and helpful.
Negative: The hotel is extremely outdated. There is a bad odor, especially in the rooms. The beds are not queen size as listed, the carpet is old and the restroom smells moldy. The restroom fan did not work, so the walls and ceiling stayed wet from condensation. The parking lot is very dark. I did not feel safe walking outside alone, it could definitely use some additional lighting.

Positive: You know. When it was the Clarion and when we packed it up as an alumni of Oneonta state. Fraternities and sororities causing problems. You know they put up with us. The vibe was so much different but things change. Was still clean enough, room 418 has a wall plastic corner that needs mending. Was like that when I got there I should have said something.
Negative: All good. Close to my destination, but Oh-please yes --fix that parking lot!!!!

Positive: The property is in a great location. We loved how you could go out back and be right in the center of town. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. The staff was very kind and accomodating.
Negative: The property smelled old and musty. It is in desperate need of a remodel. I liked that they provided a complimentary breakfast but it was very limited…the waffle mix didn’t last through the group. We had to go next door for breakfast. It has great potential, it just needs some updates. It was a little pricey so I was expecting a little more. The restaurant has been closed since Covid and the pool is closed.

Positive: Conveniently located for our purposes, brief interactions with staff were positive, and breakfast was one of the better ones all around.
Negative: It was busier than expected, although that's not bad for business, it's only bad when travelling with little ones and you have drunks having loud conversations in the hallway past Midnight. There was mold in the bathrooms!!!

Positive: The breakfast was great!
Negative: Our bathroom had a broken shower head and was obviously smoked in. I woke up after only two hours of sleep feeling horrible I let the desk clerk know about it at check out and she said she was aware of the problem and offered no additional compensation. I will be in the area often but will not stay in this hotel again.
