Summary: We had high hopes for our stay at the Metcalfe & it definitely had pros and cons. The lobby is stylish and a nice spot for a drink. The light filled space is modern and stylish, but I definitely can understand people's complaints of having a room facing it. The location is good and we found it a decent spot to be based for walking. The room was a good size and the beds comfortable with amenities such as an iron & coffee maker. The restaurant food was good but had limited options - it was various egg dishes or Greek yogurt for breakfast. The pros ... 1) the shower is awkward. It's hard to reach in and turn on without spraying yourself in the face and leaked water very easily. No bathtub. 2) I was awoken at 5am to brawling club goers ... there was then a steady stream of intoxicated people waiting on Ubers talking loudly outside our window until 7am. Needless to say I was not amused. Thursday night we didn't hear noise but Friday night this was an issue so perhaps it's a weekend problem? Seems like the hotel and club could work together to ensure club goers kept noise down on the street ... perhaps a sober bouncer reminding people to keep voices down? Wish I'd seen warnings of the noise - it's definitely not a hotel for light sleepers!

Summary: Great place but they neglect to tell you that there is only Valet Parking at $47.00. I was NOT happy.

Summary: Very comfortable room with view of the public library. Quiet even though overlooking the front street. Reception and valet were very helpful. Great location for walking around the city. Would stay again.

Summary: Stay was great but the restaurant was completely disappointing. Also, the listing showed a pool that they didnt have.

Summary: The hotel overall fulfilled all my expectations. Check in was fast and effient. The room was spotlesly clean and house keeping was efficient and not intrusive. The doorman noted me stumbling, came out and escorted me to my room. I did not sample the food enough to comment on it

Summary: The team was incredibly kind and left special surprises for my friend for her birthday which was very appreciated. We had an issue with plumbing in our first room which was efficiently dealt with and we were moved rooms without a fuss. Beautiful setting, convenient to walk around downtown. Breakfast at cocotte was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Very nice spot downtown. Valet parking $$ and not huge Windows in the rooms. Very good food in the lobby restaurant and walking distance from all you want to see.

Summary: Very nice hotel but the water pressure on the shower was too too too low. Unfortunately This is a deal breaker for me. Also too much noise on the steer after hours and can hear inside our room. This was most likely because we were on a lower floor (2nd floor)
