The Mid-Century Retreat is a one-story house. To access our beautiful retreat, you will need to go up two steps on the front porch. This 1960’s architectural design has a step-down living room that is accessible from the foyer and dining room area. The sliding patio door off the dining room gives you access to the outdoor patio area by stepping down two steps. This home will give you all the vacation vibes you seek right away!
What we provide during your stay:
• We have a two-car driveway for parking.
• We provide cable TV, High-Speed Wi-Fi so you can watch movies and videos with your own Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, You tube, accounts etc.
• Our calendar is usually open 12 months in advance, don't hesitate to reach out.

Summary: We were celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here with in town and out of town family. Upon entering the home I was truly impressed with all of the Christmas decorations including the Christmas tree that also had gifts for us from the host! It truly felt like a getaway. I did all of the he cooking and loved, loved the size of the kitchen and it had everything I needed. The home was cozy, updated and the host went above and beyond with capturing Christmas. Very attentive. I would definitely stay again!

Summary: The host were responsive and accommodating. They thought of all the small things to make the stay comfortable. There were lots of things of that were explicity left for guest to use. The home upgrades were very nice. We enjoyed the smore basket left by the hosts. We finally got to enjoy the last night of our stay because of the weather. Lots of wet days. I will definitely be looking to stay again if I visit again.

Summary: We were a group of MSU alumni ladies getting together for our yearly reunion. They house was very clean and the layout was perfect for our group. There were also so many thoughtful touches and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Although we didn’t use the adorable outdoor space, that also would have been perfect for our group

Summary: This home is great!!! We rented it to visit our daughter who goes to MSU and it was perfect!!! It’s 12 minutes from campus in a nice neighborhood. The hosts were extra wonderful to work with. The attention to detail in this newly renovated home was fabulous!!! It has everything you need. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Summary: This was one of the best rentals we've ever stayed at. The owners have thought of absolutely everything. Their home is wonderfully decorated (looks just like the photos), charming and so very, very cozy and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need or want has been considered. The hosts were so responsive and kind, leaving snacks (that we over-indulged in!), a gift certificate for dinner and even a little gift for our family. I couldn't recommend this cottage more -- just a truly wonderful place to stay!! Highly recommend!

Summary: House just as described and decorated so cute! We had everything we needed and then some. The host went above and beyond to welcome us and make our stay nice. She left us a welcome gift and card and supplied us with a few snacks, which my girls loved! I don’t think I’ve ever received such a wonderful welcome from any VRBO host before! So thoughtful ❤️ Check in was the easiest process ever at a VRBO with a personalized code on the front door- no keys to keep up with! The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet, safe, and close to everything- perfect! The beds & pillows were super soft and comfy. There was an outdoor seating area and fire pit in the back yard, but we never used it. Kitchen was stocked- even had an air fryer! The checkout process was the icing on the cake- I reached out to the host to get instructions because so often there are really specific instructions when you stay somewhere like dishes must me washed or trash taken here or beds stripped …… but she said “no instructions, you’re our guest, so you don’t need to do anything”. Wow! So nice!!!!!! Of course, we picked up and took out the trash, but this host made our stay amazing! If we’re ever in Lansing, we’ll stay here again! I wish all VRBO experiences were this easy and welcoming!
