Summary: Moat house is a lovely, peaceful retreat set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, just a short drive to Southwold and Beccles. The house is large and has plenty of space and we had a very enjoyable stay with our family.

Summary: Our family of 7 (5 children aged between 15 and 4) had a fantastic time staying at this property. We were blown away by the space within the house and around it. The garden was superb with fantastic views, we had lots of fun playing hide and seek and it felt very safe for our young children, a lovely summerhouse hidden away to relax in and read and the pool was perfect and secure with a locked gate to prevent the young ones from entering unaccompanied. The house had everything we needed to keep everybody entertained, we took a day trip to Southwold beach which was just a 20 minute drive and it was very nice. Such a peaceful place we all felt thoroughly rested and had so much fun. Thank you to the owner, Richard who made it very easy to locate everything with a welcome pack. Would most definitely recommend.

Summary: This was a wonderful break in beautiful surroundings. Communication was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The pool was a winner with the children and adults alike. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

Summary: Had a fantastic break at the Moat House. Richard our host met us there for check in and showed us round. The house was perfect for our group and we used it as a base to explore the Suffolk countryside. An early morning dip in the heated outside pool got our days off to a great start. Delightful garden/summerhouse and we’ll equipped roomy house. Would highly recommend this lovely tranquil property.

Summary: Our family group of 7 enjoyed our stay here. The weather was great for April so Richard had put the outdoor pool on to warm up for our stay. We made really good use of the pool, especially the kids. We also enjoyed the snooker table and table tennis. The house is in a lovely quiet spot but not too far from Beccles. We enjoyed a boat trip on the river from Beccles which was very relaxing as well as visiting Southwold and Carlton Marshes. A good week was had by all of us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

Summary: We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Moat House :) There was 7 in our group including 3 children. We would highly recommend this great house in a beautiful peaceful setting in the countryside. A short drive to the beach and also the town centre. We had the most relaxing week we have possibly ever had and would most certainly stay again. Richard, the owner met us on arrival and showed us around the property and then left us to unpack and settle in. He was very nice to talk with and we had to contact him at one stage and got a swift reply with the details we needed. The acres of land were enjoyed so much by the children with a tree house and summer house at the back of the big garden to enjoy. The main attraction for us all was the heated pool which we used every morning and during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and everyone of us has said it was one of the best breaks we have had. Steven & Bryony

Summary: We stayed at the Moat house for a family birthday and it's a great setting with a terrific heated pool. It's surrounded by beautiful countryside and both Southwold and Aldeburgh are a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!
