Discreet, well appointed and very comfortable self-catering accommodation with dramatic views of Cranborne Chase. Sleeps 4 in 2 Super King bedrooms, one with a freestanding bath, the other with Twin beds as an option. Whether you are on a special night away, a long week-end or a weeks holiday, The Monopoly House is for you.
Set within the impressive landscape of the Cranborne Chase area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are dramatic uninterrupted views of both Dorset’s highest hill Win Green & Whitesheet Hill and fabulous walks which can incorporate several award winning pubs. If you want to cook for yourself, Britain's Best Village Shop and the famous Butcher are a ten minute walk away. We want you to enjoy local shopping for food and drink, so all cooking and washing sundries will already be waiting in the house including tea and coffee.
On arrival we want your house to look immaculate so we always leave a full day & night after each booking for a thorough clean. All sheets are professionally laundered. Check in from 3pm Check out by 11am please.
If you take the house for Christmas, Easter or Valentine's and you want themed decorations and floral arrangements for the duration, please just let us know as this is an inclusive special service which comes with your booking.

Summary: We have stayed in a few places with VRBO, but this exceeded our expectations. It was just what it appeared to be online, or perhaps better. The views were magnificent. The countryside is beautiful and inviting. We took all the walks Tessa recommended, often ending up at a pub nearby. What fun! The local food is exceptional, often from local farms, prepared with imagination. The house was so welcoming. Spotlessly clean and decorated with a designers eye. It was bright and cheerful and warm. The two kingsize beds and their luxurious linens were a delicious treat. Loved the laundry room! Every detail was thought of. We thank you for the computer and excellent wi-fi. A nice touch! We would return in a heartbeat!

Summary: Nothing to fault our stay. The layout downstairs works really well for a sociable time. Everything was clean and worked well. All the small details had been though through by our lovely hosts e.g. Keys in a safe box on arrival, supplies including cooking herbs and nespresso capsules, suggested walks, firefighters etc etc). Excellent.

Summary: Fantastic stay! The Monopoly House is even nicer than the photos. The area is stunning, the location convenient and central, yet at the same time secluded. Tessa the owner has taken great care in the finishings and it really shows. The house is gorgeously furnished, quiet, very well stocked and is very private. It was the extras though that really impressed us!! The lovely bath with loads of hot water, the super comfy beds, and high quality pillows were all divine! It was seriously one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The lovely bottle of wine and cheese to greet us on arrival was very welcoming. The views from the house are simply stunning, coupled with lovely walks from the moment you step out of the house. A final note about the area if you are not familiar with it, the Cotswold's are pretty hard to beat for natural beauty, but we were simply blown away by the gorgeousness and history of the area. Not only are there stunning views, quaint villages with lovely pubs, castle remains, medieval abbeys, the Dorset coast is close by. I cannot find fault with the service Tessa offered us and The Monopoly House. A perfect stay! I highly recommend it, we will definitely visit again. Meena
