Located just a short walk from Flagstaff Lake and a 12-min drive from Sugarloaf Mountain, the Nubble Retreat offers a warm cabin atmosphere fit for both a family getaway or a sportsman's gathering place! We are conveniently located on the Snowmobile trails, a short ride to the ATV trail with parking on site for trailers. You’ll love our quiet neighborhood and private space!
We are just a 400' walk down to a beach shared with two neighbors which offers a private space for swimming and relaxing.
The Space:
Our cabin features three levels of living space. The main floor hosts one bedroom and a full bathroom along with the kitchen, dining and living rooms. The second level hosts another bedroom and small loft area with an air mattress available for use inside the closet. Finally, in the finished basement there are two additional bedrooms and shared living room space equipped with two futons and a second full bathroom and washer / dryer. Our property is private, so you won't be sharing the space or parking with anyone else! We have also equipped the deck with a new grill for cooking and rocking chairs for relaxing when the weather is right. Please bring your own propane as we cannot guarantee propane will be available 24/7.
The main floor has a wood burning stove which is the cabins main heating source in the wintertime. A heating unit is also available downstairs in the basement. Wood is stacked right outside of the front door but you’ll need to maintain the stove during your stay. **Please note we do not currently have safety fences around the wood stove for pets and children.**
The kitchen is equipped with all common cooking utensils and pans including a new Cuisinart Home Barista coffee maker (k-cup compatible). We try to keep our kitchen stocked with coffee pods, teas and basics but please note these are not always available.
We also do our best to include travel size shampoo, conditioner, body wash and other small personal necessities in the case you’ve forgotten anything.
All beds will be made with fresh linens so you won’t have to worry about bringing your own. Extra blankets and pillows aren’t a bad idea to bring though especially when it’s -20. In the summer, we have air conditioners on both the main floor and in the finished basement.
We are a short walk down to Flagstaff Lake where there is beach access (or snowmobile access to local trails). Sugarloaf Mountain is roughly 12 minutes down the main road. Direct snowmobile and nearby ATV trail access from the property as well!

Other Things to Note:
The wood stove is our main heating source. This will be your responsibility to maintain during your stay. Wood has already been cut and stacked and is available on site for your use.
Interaction with Guests:
We won't be available in person during your stay, but I am available via messenger if any questions arise. We do have a maintenance crew readily available locally if any immediate issues arise.
