Summary: Very unique historic building. Comfy bed and friendly staff. Good free breakfast. Just remember when you try to take a noon nap that the ghost organ comes alive on the hour every hour! Took us by surprise the first time! Pet friendly too.

Summary: The Courthouse is in the historic/older part of Powell River. Access is via outdoor stairs and the location isn’t what I expected. Our view was somewhat obscured by the old pulp mill. PR is a unique town with tons of history. Definitely worth a visit.

Summary: The room and bathroom were cramped and cluttered but clean. The bar fridge in the room cycled on and off loudly even when turned off. Unfortunately the plug was behind a heavy piece of furniture so not easily accessed. No live TV only streaming. Most disturbing was the swearing into a phone that took place in the alleyway between the hotel and I suspect a mental health accommodation at 9 pm, 3:30 am and then again at 6:50 am. Could hear it clearly as the bathroom window was kept open by a screen. Otherwise the area was very quiet at night. Just not good for sleeping. Great location for walking as very historic.
