Positive: Such a lovely spot in Wicklow. We stayed here for the second time with our 2 kids and had a great weekend! The surroundings are beautiful, with a lot of sheep (!) and just a short drive to Glendalough or the Vartry Reservoir, which are both great for a nice stroll. Also Roundwood, and especially The Roundwood Stores are great for breakfast or lunch, we spend hours there! They also opened a restaurant, where we did not go yet but looked really nice. The house itself is perfect for 6 people, there is one open attic with a double bed and two bedrooms. The beds are very comfortable and the house is very clean. Kitchen has everything you need and they even had toys for the kids which was great! And last but not least, Sean and Jane are just the loveliest hosts, they made sure that we were completly comfortable and had everything we needed. Can wait for our next visit. Thanks again!

Positive: Everything about this air bnb was excellent!! It exceeded our expectations. We would go back and stay there again. The place provided a basket of timber and the host had the fire lit upon our arrival time. We accidently broke a wine glass and the host was most understanding of this. The shower is an amazing shower! The views of the countryside and hills as a backdrop is really beautiful. The kitchen had a stock of fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets, cling film, tin foil, sugar etc. Which was great. The beds were comfy, feather duvets. There is a well kitted out kitchen dishwasher washing machine cooker hob -no microwave, no TV, but we didn't mind as we didn't need them. There was plenty of towels and the place was immaculately clean!! We thought the place was brand new, it was that clean! The garden out the back is very pretty, small but nice for a morning coffee. The binoculars were cool to have as well. We enjoyed the quiz game and the cosy atmosphere with the fire lit over a few glasses of vino. It really is a special place to chill in and also be a convenient base for people wanting to explore the wicklow trails and sights.
Negative: We have no complaints about this place because it is an amazing spot! We have a few suggestions instead. We would love to see this place get a sauna or jacuzzi out the back in their wee garden. We would have liked a bluetooth speaker, a small one even. We also think more board games would be nice for adults, such as rummikub, balut, yatzee!, scrabble etc. The one thing to bare in mind for guests on the advert is the double bed is in the mezzanine on the first floor which is an open space (no door/not an enclosed bedroom), whilst the 4 singles are in bedrooms, so maybe guests could be aware of this beforehand if there's people getting up and are downstairs pottering, the people who stay in the double bed mezzanine might wake from noise below. We brought blankets and throws with us and we used them on the sofas but would be a nice addition for guests who don't think to bring them. A microwave would be nice for popcorn ! We would also love to see more character in the house with photos -like the black and white photo of the man and the dog.
