Positive: Charming building and staff exceptional! Breakfast was amazing every morning! Maxine offered us many ideas for sightseeing in the area and we weren’t disappointed. The property was busy every day we were there hosting events and serving in the restaurant. Despite this we couldn’t hear any noise up in our room.

Negative: Being right on a larger roadway at an intersection, there was some traffic noise. But staff considerately left ear plugs so they’re aware!

Summary: Would stay again for sure!

Positive: Firstly, the landlady and staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. We were made to feel at home the moment we checked in. Our evening meal and breakfast were top notch. The property is full of interesting art and novelties. It was clean and inviting and we would have no hesitation in returning to this lovely pub. You can identify when someone has gone above and beyond to make their property warm and inviting with an individual twist.

Negative: It was very hot in our bedroom but it must be very difficult to cater for all requirements and we were two ladies of a certain age so we're probably self heating as well. 😂

Negative: Stairs up to room a nightmare but staff helped with luggage. Could do with grab rails in shower and mirror needs a rewinding to wall.

Positive: Lovely, old fashioned accommodation in a terrific location. The breakfast was delicious and the evening menu provided great choice and excellent value for money. Much better than having to find somewhere every evening. Maxine was delightful, very helpful and informative.
