Positive: Amazing location so much to see and do within 30min drive. The property itself is really well laid out.
Negative: The bed is a small double. Salt pepper and sugar pots but no salt pepper or sugar.

Positive: Lovely old building done up to hotel standard. Very comfortable double bed with an en-suite and separate WC. Nice to be able to watch Netflix too. Rather cold at times but we just turned up the heating a bit. Not great to be woken before 7am by the fire alarm going off and then carrying on for intermittent blasts for the next hour or so. Lovely host though who was apologetic and sorted the issue, which for us, wasn’t repeated thankfully. Would’ve been nice to know that there was no milk or sugar here. There was tea and coffee though. After a long journey from the Isle of Man we had to go back out and find some basic supplies. Previous lodges we’ve stayed at have said what’s included when you arrive so you know what to bring with you. Overall it’s a lovely place to be and we would stay again despite the few issues. The fire alarm issue, we guess, is a one off.

Positive: All the essentials were provided, and the place was very clean, and comfortable. And given that this was a January stay, nice and warm. No hassle getting access to the property, and apart from a quick check-in from our host the day after arriving to make sure we had everything we needed, we were left to our own devices. In summary, it's a great place to have as a base for exploring, and with Wimborne only four miles away, it's a short drive for food and supplies. And with a bunch of must-sees within an hours drive, it suited us perfectly.
Negative: Not really a don't like and more of an observation, the shower was quite low pressured. Still works and still warm; so did the job.
