Positive: The property was very cosy and well decorated. The kitchen was well kitted out and we were able to make a number of meals whilst staying here with ease. The lounge area is comfortable with a smart TV meaning you can access Netflix etc with ease. There is a small dining table that was great for breakfast and dinner. The bathroom was very clean with a large velux window meaning it had natural light and ventilation . The bed was very comfortable and good quality pillows and bedding provided. The property is fully central heated and this is very efficient A good base which is situated in a quiet location and with great connections to the peake district meaning we where able to explore much of this area. Also located very close to alton towers if thats your thing.
Negative: The property was maybe a little smaller than expected. The property has many windows but not many that open. We were a able to leave the door open which allowed good ventilation. The heating is very efficient... which is great but goes from zero to boiling in next to no time. Parking space was a little awkward as located right next to property entrance but after being there a few days realised not an issue
Summary: Certainly not a pig sty! Very pleasant and comfortable.

Positive: It was very cosy - the heating warmed it up very quickly and the views, peace and quiet were a joy.
Negative: Some tea bags, milk and other basics would have been good.for our arrival, but I would recommend this to anyone wanting a self-catering base in the Staffordshire moorlands

Positive: Well equipped with essentials and more, quaint place to stay and not far from local amenities including Bakewell a beautiful thriving town.❤️. Driving through Peaks to get there was absolutely stunning.
Negative: EV charges are few and far between but nevertheless there are plenty on M1 as we realised on our return journey. Some chargers not working but fast chargers in Ashbourne next to Lidle was a bonus for doing country routes through peaks and exploring.
