Summary: There were a lot of steps up and down to get to our room not good for elderly people. There was only one bedside cabinet so had to use the floor and hence there was no reading light on one side. Also, the shower was too small if you are elderly or have limited mobility or indeed are overweight. We did pass our comments on to reception when checking out.

Summary: Great location in the center of Edinburgh, ver convenient. Rooms were nice, comfortable and the one towards the back had a great view on the sea. NB: there is no escalator and the floors are high. Only issue — but quite serious one — both our rooms on the last floor had issues with the shower, greeting barely any hot water. Would recommend — but only if the shower issue gets fixed.
