Positive: The guest rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The common areas were well thought out and really helped make the stay for our small group very enjoyable. The breakfasts were great - good variety, high quality, and the service was attentive while being sensitive.

Negative: Two very tiny suggestions - 1) we were not familiar with the climate control systems in the guest rooms and struggled a bit to get the settings correct. Adding instructions for them to the very informative booklets in each guest room would be helpful. 2) Please add pineapples to the breakfast menu! I was a bit disappointed that the pineapple plantation did not serve pineapples :-(. Fortunately the other excellent breakfast foods made up for it. The homemade jams were particularly good.

Positive: Beautiful place on old plantation, rooms are very comfy and clean and has a nice balcony. The location is just 5 minutes from Horta and 8 to the airport. The best thing are the lovely host and hostess, Andreas and Barbara. They take such good care and made it the best stay of my holiday. Plus an amazing view of mnt Pico!

Positive: We had such an amazing stay at the Plantation Faial. Perfectly located, calm, but very near to Horta. The room and the view were perfect. The hosts Barbara and Andreas so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast from Barbara is amazing, Andreas knows everything about the island and helped to organize a lot of stuff for us. We would go there anytime again.

Positive: Staying with Andreas and Barbara at the Plantation Faial exceeded all of our expectations! The hospitality provided by them was awesome - the room was very spacious, clean and we also got perfect breakfasts each day and if we ever had any questions about the Island, Andreas was more than helpful! The accommodation itself is very lovely, close by to Horta and you can also walk around the plantation freely and if you’re lucky, you might even spot mount Pico from your balcony :) If we ever return to Faial, we already know where we shall be staying :) To Andreas and Barbara - thank you once again for everything!

Positive: We had a lovely stay at the Plantation. From our balcony we could see the sea and neighbouring Pico. Andreas and Barbara were great hosts. Andreas shared many recommendations and tips for Faial with us, and Barbara makes a terrific breakfast with each day another special thing such as pastel de nata or pancakes. The bananas and oranges for breakfast came from their own plantation in front of the house and you could really tast the difference. The whole house is super cozy and we appreciated the huge array of guide books, especially the laminated map and hiking cards, which came in super handy. All in all, it was just a perfect stay.

Positive: Wow, this new "Bed and Breakfast" was an extraordinary six night stay because of the people, facility and breakfasts. The owners were very personable, warm, and helpful. Their facility was very clean and tidy. The bed and bedding was luxurious. There were electrical receptacles near the bed for our phones. The shower has both a wand and large rain shower head with lots of hot water. The bathroom mirror was heated. There is a large common area with a refrigerator, a large table, dishes and cutlery for coffee/tea and quick snacks, a microwave and sofas. The veranda with our room was spacious for peaceful morning sun. The windows and doors have screens although there were no mosquitos. The WIFI was strong with a security password. Barbara's breakfasts were always fresh with tremendous variety. We loved the just-squeezed orange juice, eggs, pancakes, homemade spicy hummus and jams, Greek style yogurt, breads, pastry, fruit, cereals, herbal teas and cheese. We asked Andreas, our host many detailed questions about Faial and the Azores. He always took the time to explain the background, history and traditions that make the Azores a nature lover's superb outdoor destination. This personal touch added a lot of meaning to our visit. The location was quiet and only a 10 minute drive to the modern Continente grocery store or restaurants in Horta; and, 12 minutes to the airport.

Positive: This place is incredible. The decor is stunning, the balcony is out of this world with amazing views of Mount Pico when the weather cooperates. The breakfast is so delicious and plentiful. However, the very best part about this place are the owners. Andreas and Barbara are so welcoming and kind and really go above and beyond. Made my stay in Faial even that much better. Would 1000% recommend and come again!
