Summary: My girlfriend and I were simply blown away. The cabin was as big as a large sweet that we would normally stay in at a Hilton hotel. Everything was perfectly organized clean and safe. The cabin had everything we could possibly want for a weekend getaway. Well working kitchenette with everything you would need to make and eat your own meal right in the cabin. The wood fireplace was easy to use and kept the cabin toasty and comfortable. Everything on the property looked new or in very good condition. From the furniture to the newer Weber Spirit grill on the deck. And small details were very appreciated! Brochures of surrounding attractions and restaurants along with contact information and snacks were left on the table! The entire property outside was beautiful and very well maintained. The walking trails were well marked and easy to navigate. We're only 10 to 15 minutes away from several local eateries pubs and wineries. The note on the pond cottage property details website said that there was a cellular hotspot for Wi-Fi and we were worried about how good the reception would be for video streaming... But we got a perfect signal the entire time were there and were able to stream videos on the Smart TV and continue our normal nighttime TikTok scrolling with no problem 😄 We are already talking about wanting to come back and spend a whole week next time! I cannot recommend this property enough.

Summary: My bucket list included a solo trip to just re-charge. When I came across the Pond Cottage in my search for where I would go, I was immediately drawn to it. Once I started researching things to do around Austinburg, OH, I booked!! The cabin was peaceful, nestled amongst the trees, the bull frogs serenaded me at night as I sat by the pond and reflected on the day. I adventured to zip lining, shopped at Geneva on the Lake, gemstone shopped at Noema Rock & Gem Shop and stone gathered at Geneva State Park, then took in Rosebella Winery, only minutes from Rustic River Resort. It was a wonderful time, and the cabin was the icing on the cake. It saddened me to leave, but as I shut the door behind me, I knew it wasn't going to be for the last time. I will be back.

Summary: Perfect for 2 people. We had everything we needed for our visit. We enjoyed the quiet country setting. A nice grocery store was a short drive and Ashtabula was an easy drive. The purpose of our trip was to observe the total solar eclipse, but we made time to do a covered bridges tour. The trails to the river were enjoyable. Recommend this cottage.
