3 Bedroom Villa in Apple Hall, Atlantic Rising

The Pool House is a lovely home from home Villa with a private, decent size swimming pool (24' by 16') and large patio area. Ideal for a leisurely swim, the pool being 4' 6" at its deepest level. Dining and relaxing in total privacy, on the covered patio.
The kitchen is fully equipped, open plan with the dining room which houses a large 6 seater dining table and chairs. A coffee maker, toaster and other small appliances have been added for your convenience and the cupboards are well stocked with pots, pans, plates and drink wear. The patio area also has dining furniture to seat 6 and sunchairs. The living room has comfy lounge seating for six, satellite flatscreen TV and DVD.
The washing machine is located in a lockable out-house off the driveway. A rotary washing line is also provided.
All three of the bedrooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans. The master bedroom having an en-suite bathroom. Ample wardrobe and storage space available.
On site Property Manager is available (Jan ) who will provide a meet and greet upon your arrival. Barbeque/cot and high chair hire is also available paid locally from the Property Manager (subject to availability). Jan is very welcoming and the font of all local knowledge, with plenty of top tips for visits and is happy to help at any time.
Bed linen, bathroom and kitchen towels including pool towels are provided. The pool and gardens will be cleaned during your stay and Jan will advise which day to expect attendance of cleaners/gardener.
It is recommended to use the plastic drink wear for the pool area provided for your stay.
Please note this Villa is strictly non-smoking.
The beautiful Bottom Bay Beach is a 5 minute stroll from The Pool House Villa. This is the Atlantic side of the Ocean, so waves & current are very strong.
Emerald City Shopping village at Six Roads is less than 10 minute drive away with supermarket, banks, petrol station, Dr, post office and restaurant with children's play area. The large, well-stocked (with local and international brands) supermarket is open every day from 8am to 10pm except on Sundays when it closes at 3pm.

Within the Barbados coral core there is a vast array of caves and underground lakes which provide an excellent supply of drinking water that is amongst the purest in the world. This means it is perfectly safe to drink tap water.

Summary: The Pool House is a well laid out 3 BR 2BA home with space and privacy for everyone. Jan, the local contact, was amazing. We had some issues with small appliances and cooking equipment when we arrived: Jan had the items replaced the next day. She kept in contact during our stay, giving good advice and a "feel good" experience. Thank you very, very much, Jan. The pool and yard are well-maintained. The cleaner, who came weekly, kept the house spotless. There are AC units in the bedrooms, but most of the time, there is a lovely cooling breeze through the house. There is an outdoor dining table, loungers and plenty of seating on the patio beside the pool. A dip in the pool is the perfect solution to a hot day of touring or being on the beach. After exploring the island on the sometimes nerve-wracking roads, this house was a great place to come home to. You can always hear the ocean which is a 3 or 4 minutes walk away. Six Cross Roads is a short drive away where you can find groceries, an ATM and most things you might need.

Summary: We are a family of 2 + 2 and the villa did meet our needs perfectly. The pool was great, we never heard from any neighbours and other than the occasional visit from the neighbourhood cat, we were very private. Although Barbados is a small island, some roads are very busy and some I wouldn't even call a road; this does mean that getting from A to B takes longer than one might imagine when you look at the mileage. Something to bear in mind when considering the location of the villa. Just a small issue but we very quickly ran out of toilet roll. I know it is not a hotel with daily service but we can't ever remember having to buy toilet roll from any of our other stays. It is also worth bearing in mind that groceries are very expensive in Barbados and probably explains why the fridge and food cupboards were totally empty.

Summary: The villa was perfect for the 4 of us with aircon in each of the 3 bedrooms, spacious living areas. Ideal location for exploring Barbados but recommended to rent a car. Villa is comprehensively provisioned with all equipment necessary for a holiday home. The well maintained swimming pool was a boon particularly after a long hot day. Jan and Lorraine were great with information and advice. Highly recommended

Summary: Our stay in Barbados was amazing with the villa being beyond our expectations. Both Jan and Lorriane are easy to talk to and will try provide as much information as possible making the booking process and stay very comfortable. The villa came fully prepared and Jan was only too happy to show us around. Facilities were very straight forward to use with no issues, and the beach really is within 2 -3 minutes walk distance. Hire vehicle is definitely advisable (which they did advise as well) and located quite close (especially if driving) to six roads which is a major junction as well as Lendees who does cook ups on weekend evenings (fri and sat) is tasty and affordable compared to some of the other resturants on the island. Already thinking about returning next year as we had an amazing time, only problem is the UK government's indecisive actions towards their international travel policies makes planning and travelling abroad difficult...but fingers crossed...we will be back same time next year....

Summary: I stayed with my mom and son for a few days and we truly enjoyed it. The icing on the cake was the private heated pool. Absolutely loved it. The neighbour is peaceful and quiet. Jan the property management was so pleasant. My son is already asking how soon can we go back. We will surely be back.

Summary: The Pool House is a wonderful place to stay. The house is very comfortable with everything you need. The pool was the highlight of the stay. You definitely need a car to stay at this location but the peace and quiet, not to mention the beauty of the area make the extra cost of a car worth every penny. Jan took excellent care of us and was very helpful with information. If you want to leave your car and take a taxi we recommend Ryan’s Taxi. He took us to the fish fry in Oistins and walked us right in to get us a table and make sure we were taken care of. Then he picked us up at the end of the night. Great service! We had a wonderful time and definitely plan on a return visit.

Summary: Lovely villa just a few minutes walk from the stunning Bottom Bay beach. East coast beaches aren't suitable for swimming but the scenery is wonderful. A car is essential, and with a car the more commercialised and crowded east coast beaches are only half an hour away for days when you do fancy a swim, soyou have the best of both worlds. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and we would certainly consider staying here again if ever we return to Barbados. The whole island seemed very safe and the people friendly so we would love to return at some point.

Summary: Loved this property, both inside and out. Very clean and tidy with everything you need. Quite often you have to start totally from scratch and buy everything in on arrival or you find yourself short of key kitchen utensils etc. but we could not fault the Pool House. The garden, terrace and pool are terrific and we enjoyed just chilling with Prosecco and chilled Banks beer in hand. There is plenty to do in the area without having to go too far but a car is strongly recommended. We did it without a car and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with Bottom Bay on your doorstep its hard to beat but apart from planned trips we did not venture far. If you want the razzmatazz of the South/West coast this is probably not for you but if you want to enjoy the peace and quiet of this lovely tranquil little corner then this certainly is for you. A useful tip if you are either without a car or just want to leave it parked up is to take the trips that include pick up and drop off. We did this for the Mount Gay lunch rum tour plus the Sunset Cruise, you pay a little bit more but far cheaper than taxi's. We also ordered our groceries for delivery from Massys (Six Roads) who were incredibly helpful, its not quite as slick as the UK but I could not fault them, they even sourced the products that they did not have in store for us. We were also fortunate enough to be here for the ODI cricket between the West Indies and England, fantastic day out, Kensington stadium is excellent and watching quality cricket with the friendly sociable crowd was one of our best days out. Jan and Lorraine were both excellent, we had a wee blip with the electricity whilst at the Pool House and Jan had is sorted in no time, she genuinely cared about us and made sure we were Ok - Tip top. I have no hesitation recommending the Pool House and if we are in the neighbourhood again we would definitely return. Thank you Neil & Family
