Positive: We've been there twice now, and I'm hoping we'll go back - everything works, the size of the place is great, the views over the Meadows are a joy. It's also very, very quiet (unless there's some mad wind blowing, but hey, that's Edinburgh!).
Negative: If you have mobility problems, the one thing that can be tricky is getting in the bathtub without some acrobatics, due to its high and very large border.
Summary: I like this place so much that I'm afraid of advertising it!

Positive: Very well equipped. We forgot a few things and Tony had all extra supplies on hand. He was very easy to contact and great to communicate with throughout. Would stay again. Thanks Tony.
Negative: Pressure on shower wasn’t great Shower step was high. Not a problem for us but maybe for older people.
Summary: Superb would stay again. Loved it.

Negative: The owner tried to arrange a fire inspection in the middle of our stay while we were using the property. They required a 200 pound damage levy but asked for is through a weird website, they finally gave me a method to pay this without having to upload credit card details on line! The access to the key seemed very inflexible, having to meet with the manager, but strangely when we were delayed a lock box magically appeared. They charge you an extra fee if you arrive late to pick the key up, but then there is a lock box? How does that work?
Summary: Great location, expensive and small, inflexible and seemingly mercenary owner.

Positive: The residence was lovely, very clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well appointed if you needed or wanted to cook. We were met at the property and all things explained to us including nearest supermarket and coffee shop. The property was close enough to everything to walk but away from the noise of the inner city. There was a mini library and some useful maps of Edinburgh which was handy.
Negative: The bed, although very comfortable was a small double.

Negative: The bed was HORRIBLE!! Tiny and hard. The pillows were flat as a pancake. We ended up sleeping head to toe so we could both fit to sleep. There would be room for a larger bed if the frame was eliminated. Bath tub was scary! Oversized tub with a slick bottom. WTH. Tall or overweight?? Run from this property!

Positive: Our host, Tony, was very helpful, and he had also been great for a previous booking. The location is excellent, quiet and safe. This was our third time in the Quartermile area and it has always served us well. Great access and view of lovely and expansive Meadows. Useful television offerings (incl Netflix, Amazon), clothes washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Good access to grocers; would recommend Margiotta. Iconic Bobby's has excellent coffee. Pubs and restaurants five minutes away. Royal Mile and Waverley Station are an easy 10-15 minute walk. Very good bus service; we used it for transport to and from Dean's Walk, Stockbridge and Royal Britannic gardens.
Negative: Water pressure in shower and the height of the tub make showering or bathing awkward for those over age fifty. The full bed is an adjustment for those accustomed to a queen or king, linens a bit scratchy. Floor could use a re-finish.

Negative: The bathroom needs a bath matt. Getting in and out of the shower is quiet deadly - have a huge bruise as a souvenier now. I agree with the previous comments that the flat needs some love: fixing the lightbulbs, updating furniture and so on.

Positive: The view from the bedroom window, which could be seen from the living room, was fantastic! Location could not have been better. Very close to things, but just outside regular tourist area.
Negative: Odd layout, but it wasn't built to be what it is today, so...
