Positive: River bathing, the villas by the river, the ride from car park to the hotel along the rugged terrain were super fun

Negative: Srilankan breakfast was good but dinner should have been better in the preparation, presentation to taste.

Positive: Incredible remote location right next to a waterfall seemingly miles from anywhere!!! The hosts pick you up in a very battered landrover to tackle the bumpiest mud track for the last 1km which is exhilarating to say the least! It is amazing that in such a location they have managed to build such wonderful lodges, equipped with huge and comfortable beds, and serve delicious food. We did a 4 hour walk in the Sinharaja forest which was hot and humid but beautiful to walk through dense rainforest with sightings of lizards, spiders, millipedes, snakes and scorpion. Not as much wildlife as I expected but then they are wild!

Negative: Nothing. Be aware the WiFi can be very patchy understandably as in such remoteness but the owner let me use his hotspot which was perfect

Positive: We had an amazing stay. The location is truly stunning, surrounded by beautiful nature, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The rainforest tour was extremely well organized and a real highlight of the trip. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would happily return.

Positive: Rainforest Hideaway is an amazing place to spend some free time if you visit Sinharaja Forest. Rainforest Hideway is a family-owned business. This family shows exactly what the Sri Lankan hospitality is all about. Household cooked tasty meals is your choice. Rooms are clean and comfy beds, and sometimes even 5 star hotels do not have. Location of this Hideaway is exceptional. It is on the banks of Ging Ganga (River). Tranquil place to relax and dream. The family is friendly, polite, and very helpful. They organized my trip to Sinharaja Forest, also getting me a very knowledgeable guide to accompany me. Guides name is Sagara Jayasinghe, wow! this guy cared deeply about the nature. I would recommend Rainforest Hideaway to anybody who is looking for a relaxing holiday. This is a hidden gem in Sri Lanka. Thank you to all at Rainforest Hideway for making my holiday a great holiday.😊

Positive: Beautiful place to stay in a secluded area, run by a lovely local family. Location was perfect for us as we wanted to have a relaxing and calm stay, far from the usual hustle of touristic crowds. Cottage was clean and spacious, with beautiful views overlooking the river. The Sri Lankan Breakfast was amazing! We had it every day for the 4 days we stayed and we were generously given extra portions of the local food ❤️ The Sri Lankan Dinner options were just as tasty. The family were very helpful in arranging tours and tuktuks for us whenever we needed. The river swim was the highlight of our stay. Close by, there are also tea estates which are well worth a visit. All in all, this is a place you must visit :)
