Positive: Lovely pretty & cosy pub where you can book & eat in the bar area or restaurant area . The staff we all friendly & happy to help. Both areas have the same menu which had a lovely variety of popular & more usual plates . It was hard to choose . I had the most delicious cheese soufflé with cheese fondue absolutely recommend .Fabulous outside pizza kitchen too. Excellent beer & draft.cider. We stayed overnight .The room was perfect, a very attractive & good size double at the front facing the road on the ground floor but no car noise . It is just a country road . We look forward to coming again in a few months time

Positive: Very comfortable stay. Very clean room. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast cooked to order.

Negative: Green light on ceiling which was very bright. Had to cover with Elastoplast so we could sleep!!

Positive: Breakfast was pretty good. There could have perhaps been a few more options but its only a small venue. We werent unhappy. The staff were fantastic and the rooms really confortable and well kitted out.

Negative: It was all good.

Positive: Cosy English pub with lovely food, rooms were separate so quiet but convenient. Large rooms, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, beautiful location and really close to the main road so perfect for our stop off on a long journey.

Negative: Could have had better tea and water station in the room

Positive: Excellently appointed, huge and new room upstairs in the Barn building was a surprise on arrival and superbly comfortable and quiet over Christmas, Staff very welcoming and the late night burger and fries we grabbed actually stood out as excellent. Previous very good dining experience at the Red Lion now backed up with an excellent stay. Small touches like real coffee and a cafetiere do make a difference

Negative: More than two biscuits in the jar.....and that is all I can ask to improve!
