The Snug Retreat is located on a wooded cul-de-sac in Beaverton which is 11 miles west of downtown Portland. Our neighborhood of single-family homes is a peaceful retreat from the buzz of the city – yet still so close to all the hip restaurants, craft breweries, and indie culture that has put Portland on the international map. The Snug Retreat is also close to Nike’s world headquarters and the Intel campuses in neighboring Hillsboro.
In Beaverton itself, there is plenty to explore. Grab a cold one at a tap room like White Oak Tap House, Central Station Taps, Nebulous Taproom, or The Growlerie which overlooks a lake. For a beer town, Cooper Mountain Vineyards has captivated locals with its 100% biodynamic and organic wines plus an oak grove setting overlooking the valley.
Another local spot is BG’s Food Cartel which has a bar and 30+ food trucks serving all kinds of cuisines. On the recreation front, Cooper Mountain Nature Park and Tualatin Hills Nature Park both offer hiking and jogging trails through diverse habitats and nature centers with programming. Portlanders also say the Jenkins Estate – it’s on the National Register of Historic Places – is a must-see with its historic country home, English gardens, and trails from the early 1900s.

There are lots of ways to enjoy your time here: Sip morning coffee at our picnic table as birds sing around you. Fire up the BBQ grill for a fun afternoon cookout. Drift away in our hammock that sways beneath towering trees. Or gather around the fire pit with craft beers and s’mores – as the Oregon stars smile upon you.
Around the front of the house, our patio is just as easygoing. Unwind on the wagon wheel bench or our rattan hanging chair, all among green shutters and hanging flower baskets.
LIVING ROOM & DEN
Our living room and den have neutral color palettes, sweet touches, and nature-themed artwork that make you feel at home. Oh, and big picture windows with tree views.
Just inside the front door, our living room has a modern farmhouse vibe that feels light and happy. Get comfy on the oversized sofa and armchairs as you map out the next day’s adventures. And listen to some records – or your Spotify playlist – on our vintage-style record player. It’s Bluetooth-enabled, and also has a radio.
Our den at the back of the house is made for gathering with your group. Curl up on the sectional sofa for a movie night with stovetop popcorn. Or light a cozy fire in the wood-burning fireplace. And when you’d like some fresh air, step out to the patio from the door in here.
KITCHEN & DINING ROOM
The kitchen looks out to the woodsy backyard and has all the essentials you’ll need to whip up a snack or home-cooked meal. Homey touches include wood cabinetry and a glass bookshelf with pottery, artwork, and appliances. Start your morning at our coffee bar which has a coffee pot and French press. Or mix an evening cocktail at the bar cart (it’s BYO alcohol). There’s even a wood desk and lamp in here, for any work remote needs. High-speed Wi-Fi? Check. We have 645 Mbps.
In the dining room, you can eat, drink and play board games around our table that seats 8 people. A glass cupboard is stocked with everything from wine glasses to martinis and cocktails. And the blue-and-white rug here is beautiful.
4 BEDROOMS
Four bedrooms on the upstairs floor each have their own personality – and thoughtful amenities that make you feel cared for. Things like crisp white sheets, bedside tables and lamps, full-length mirrors, and closets each with a luggage rack and two terry cloth robes.

Our powder room on the main floor has a fun, unexpected touch: Flower wallpaper with yellow daisies. Upstairs, a full bathroom in the hallway has a double vanity and shower with a soaking tub. And in the master bedroom, the en suite bathroom has a separate water closet room for the glass shower and toilet.
Beyond plush towels and soap, we’re also happy to provide shampoo, body wash and black makeup towels for you.

WELCOME GUIDEBOOK
A few days before your stay, you will receive a digital welcome book that contains all the house information you will need.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in is any time after 3:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. Based on availability, you can check in earlier than 3:00 pm for a $150 fee, and check out after 11:00 am for the same amount. Note that this is not always possible, it will be on a case-by-case basis.
PARKING
Our driveway can fit several cars and there is plenty of street parking across the street from the house. Please do not block any of our neighbors' driveways. If you are not sure where to park, ask and we are happy to provide the map.
PETS
We’re happy to host your small furry friends. We can accept up to two pets, each weighing up to 25 lbs, for a $100 fee per pet. All pets must be house-trained. Please share your pet’s breed and weight information prior to booking so we can provide written approval. As we accept service animals, please contact us for arrangements.
Please note: Any sign of pet damage will result in an appropriate fee for the damage at hand.
QUIET HOURS
Thank you for observing our quiet hours between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am. This ensures the peace of the neighborhood and our standing as courteous neighbors.
SMOKING
To keep The Snug Retreat fresh and clean for all, smoking is not allowed inside. If smoke is detected, there will be a $300 fee for deep cleaning and odor removal.
PARTIES & EVENTS
Gatherings with your group are great, but parties and events are not permitted. Any evidence of such will result in a $600 fee and an immediate termination of your booking. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to keep The Snug Retreat in wonderful shape for all guests to come.
