Summary: Comfortable stay in rural location with beautiful views. Danny and Fran excellent hosts. Good breakfast. Ideal spot for us to stay for out Whanganui river trip in Pipiriki.

Summary: A beautiful setting with an amazing gracious host! We loved the setting, path along the river and attention to details. Danny is a wonderful host. I wish we could have stayed a third night.

Summary: The River Lodge is a beautiful property set in lovely grounds. We had a large beautiful room, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and a balcony with a wonderful view of the mountain. We had fabulous breakfasts and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside is that it is quite remote - about a 10 minute drive into Ohakune.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at the river lodge. We came here to ski in Turoa but the weather is against us. Daniel’s warm brand new chalet with hot water jacuzzi and nice wine made our day in those raining days. Oh and my son loved Netflix too! Highly recommend, it’s the best accommodation in the area, will not need to look else where if we come ski again in Whakapapa and Turoa.

Summary: The chalets are clean, comfortable and have a beautiful woodwork. Breakfast just great and our family felt welcome from the start to the end. Will surelly be back.

Summary: It was like…coming home. Private. Warm welcome,clean,friendly,calm and relaxing. Different. Comfortable room.Amazing view. Tasty and easy going breakfast. Helpful and useful (in details) instructions how/where to drive for a dinner/National park/other interesting places. Unfortunately too short stay (2 nights) We’ll come back. Highly recommended.
