Summer Dell Pastoral Co is a 100 acre cattle farm based in the heart of Exeter, NSW.
The Silo is a residence by the main residence on the property that was once a grain silo, which is now a cosy and basic farm stay residence that has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a self-contained kitchen and living area.
The Silo balcony, as well as the upstairs rooms, have gorgeous views over the undulating hills and our dairy and Angus cattle, who will often come up to the balcony to say hello.
All Silo residents also have access to the farm, where you can have long walks along the farm tracks, take in the crisp fresh air, and visit our dairy and Angus cattle, pet Alpacas and our horse Ruby.
You will be likely to see kangaroos, rabbits, and even the odd fox as well.

Summary: The whole Host Family was so thoughtful and hospitable - from turning the heaters on so when we arrived after dinner we could put the kids to bed in warm rooms, to going above and beyond to look after us even after our stay. The breakfast and coffee machine provided also enabled us to ease into the day, setting us up well for some refreshing Highlands adventures. The kids enjoyed the quirky curved walls, and the farm setting, especially the alpacas, and outdoor space for play. It was great to meet Rick too one day, who'd supplied us with firewood for the living room stove heater, and welcomed us warmly.

Summary: We enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Silo. The beds were very comfortable and the showers great. The kitchen was well equipped. Scenery is beautiful. However the whole place could have been prepared better. The patio was extremely overgrown and outdoor furniture uninviting with dirt leaves and spiders. The deck also was unkempt. We had in our bedroom and bathroom 3 large spiders. There were 4 of us and given the property can sleep 6 comfortably, 6 people in the living room/kitchen would be a tight fit. The property is ideally located nearby to many Southern Highlands attractions.

Summary: We had a lovely time here. Booked as a Father’s Day surprise for hubby and boys, and they loved it! So different to anything we’ve stayed in before... loved it all. Had a few walks around the property each day and exploring the neighbouring villages was fun. The friendly resident horse was a highlight. Very comfortable and cosy accommodation and all the extras supplied were very much appreciated.

Summary: Such a different experience to most other holiday stays, a quiet 100 acre farm staying in a silo. It was very comfortable and would definitely recommend it. The surrounding area and towns are just delightful

Summary: No expenses had been spared in converting the silo into very comfortable lodgings. The place was well equipped with good quality equipment and furnishings. The food stuff and teas provided were well received. We were four persons and we enjoyed our stay.
