This is an ideal option for a peaceful getaway to the stunning Bay of Islands.
The Stables is a cosy self-contained one bedroom cottage with small ensuite (no bath), small well equipped kitchen, covered deck and BBQ.
Spend days at the private beach onsite. Set yourself up at the picnic table or enjoy the complimentary Kayaks and paddle board. Be sure to keep watch for Kiwi and Weka living in the surrounding native bush. The Point House also has a large rural property with facilities shared between guests accommodation.
The Russell to Okiato walk crosses the rear of the property and offers spectacular ocean views. For a taste of the local wine Omata vineyard is next door to this expansive site. If you’re coming across from the Opua ferry, this tranquil holiday park is situated just 2km away. Head over to Russell for the day, just 7 minutes drive and while your there jump on the ferry to Paihia. For a piece of New Zealand, Waitangi is less than 5 minutes from Paihia.

Summary: No TV , had to pay an extra 50.00 for linen & towels, and this is after they stated on their confirmation to us, that it was included... as part of the package..

Summary: We were fortunate to have the property pretty much to ourselves so it was blissfully quiet and worth the 10 minute drive to Russell. We treasure little bolt holes like this. It's a little rustic and unmanicured but this is its charm and is still well kitted out and very comfortable. Our dogs were in heaven with lots of room to run around, explore and swim. If you were there in the winter it could feel a bit dreary because the unit is in shade but in the heat of summer it was good.Highly recommend if your a couple who are happy being out of the tourist centre and value a little peace and quiet. Loved the ping pong table too!A little expensive perhaps but then everything seems to be?

Summary: My little chalet was ideal for me. There is one of the stages at the beginning for the driveway so that was perfect for my start to do the Okiato loop. Shame the sun doesn’t penetrate the chalet until later in the day, likely the trees in the front obscure the sun and view of the sea. It’s a tranquil place, one can be as active as they want to be swimming, kayaking if you want.

Summary: Lorna was excellent, the place was clean, dry and lovely to hear the birds and tuis! We felt very comfortable with our dog, and was great price and location for young couple! Thank you so much Lorna!
