Summary: The hotel is elegant and we were well taken care of. Our Butler, Chris, provided exceptional service at every turn. We enjoyed dining at the hotel and found out meals well prepared and nicely spiced. We will be happy to return to The Strand.

Summary: It's easy to stay at a generic box type hotel. The Strand has pedigree (See Raffles and E&O). It's a beautiful building with high ceilings. Beautifully decorated and clean. Very pleasant staff. Quiet and tranquil. Stay here for your first visit to Yangon, and you can always stay at a generic, branded hotel on a subsequent visit.
