Summary: Tv in bar lounge not set up for even basic channels, just on a rolling red bull advert..pointless waste of electricity. Couldn’t get an evening meal before 7pm as booked up but surely residents should come first? Staff were first class, rooms clean and comfortable, would stay here again

Summary: Quite simply one of the best places we've stayed at. We chose this place for its location being within easy reach of a number of places we wanted to visit in Somerset - Cheddar Gorge, Shepton Mallet prison, and of course Bristol itself. The rooms are clean and modern, very comfortable and quiet. Plenty of attached parking, and the pub itself is cosy and welcoming. We had dinner there for one of the 3 nights we stayed, the food was excellent - I really enjoyed the Mexican-style burger, all the usual pub favourites are of course available. The breakfast was sumptuous, unlike other places where its normally a set option, we were given the choice from a separate breakfast menu - I enjoyed the 'full Temple', my partner enjoyed a spinach & cheese omelette. And most of all, the owners Adam & Lee were really friendly and wanted to ensure we were looked after, as were the bar staff and the lady serving breakfast in the morning. When we visit Somerset again we will definitely stay again - thanks very much!

Summary: The room was clean and comfy and well designed. Had a meal in the restaurant on the evening and was delicious and really good quality. The breakfast was excellent, great produce and presentation although would liked to have had some fresh fruit or cereal as a choice.

Summary: Usually the stay here is ok but hotel room wasn’t particularly clean, the staff could do with some food safety training, the chef kept touching his face and then the food. Missed out on breakfast because was told the wrong time :(
