We are excited to welcome you to the Torty.
Nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains, this gorgeous, brand new log cabin features a variety of amenities across it’s 3,360 square feet of living space.
Up first you’ll marvel at the spacious, central great room – featuring cathedral ceilings and warm, indirect lighting. You’ll settle in to the large kitchen, featuring a dishwasher, toaster, Keurig and standard-drip coffee maker, convection oven and range, large microwave and refrigerator. You’ll also find everything you need to prepare just about any meal you can imagine. There’s also a large dining space with room for everyone, and after dinner, you can relax on cozy sofas facing the beautiful, gas-log fireplace and smart TV, while enjoying the views of your immensely private surroundings. In the colder months when the leaves fall, you’ll have beautiful views of the Allegheny mountains. But don’t stop there – on the North end of the house are two, comfortable bedrooms – one with a single queen bed, and the other with two, large bunk beds – a fun place for the kids to stay up late reading, telling each other stories, or playing games. Each room has a closet and plenty of dresser space. These two rooms share a bathroom with dual sinks and a standard shower and bathtub.
On the Southern side of the house is the master bedroom, also with a grand, vaulted ceiling and indirect lighting, including separate RGB lighting strips that you can change to any color you wish! The master bathroom is beautiful, with dual vessel sinks, a walk-in closet, and a massive shower with two, independently-controlled shower heads!
Once you’ve all taken in the beauty of the main floor, you’ll head downstairs to see the Torty’s biggest surprise – an absolutely massive gaming and entertainment space with an air hockey table and skee-ball game! There’s also a huge sofa for everyone to use while enjoying some television on a rainy day. The lower floor also features another bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities available for use. And did I mention the back yard?? It features a hot tub that fits 7, and a large seating area with firepit. You’re likely to see a lot of deer in the area thanks to the ample clover all around the cabin!
The Torty, is pretty much 20 minutes from anywhere you could want to be, located just outside of the town of Shenandoah Va.. The Massanutten ski resort is just west, Luray is just North, along with Luray Caverns and lots of shopping opportunities. One of the entrances to Skyline Drive is to your South, just east of Elkton (Swith Run Gap) on route 33, the other is located just north in Luray(Thornton Gap). There are tons of wonderful places to visit, including restaurants, shops, breweries, vineyards, and more.
We designed the Torty to be the perfect getaway spot for large and reuniting families. With ample parking, seating, sleeping arrangements, free Wi-Fi, and large, communal areas, the Torty offers a little something for everyone.

A Video Surveillance camera monitors the exterior parking/driveway of our home. A photo of what is monitored can be seen in the photos. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy/pets and other policies noted in our lease agreement.
NOTE: Nightly Rate is based on 2 guests. Extra Guests $30.00 Per Person Per Night. The sliding scale allows us to make our home affordable to many different sizes of groups rather than setting our rent at a higher base rate for the entire home. We do verify the number of guests during your stay so please provide accurate information. Please see the contract agreement for details regarding additional guests not accounted for on the reservation.

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
