Positive: Beautiful view. Such modern amenities. Very comfortable bed.
Negative: My only suggestion would be another comfortable chair in the sitting room. It was a bit tight for 4 people to relax.

Positive: Located on the side of a mountain, The Treehouse is amazing and has sweeping views of the fjord. To say that it has "million dollar views" is an understatement. The views were just breathtaking---and you could see the ocean, black sand beaches and snow-capped mountains from every window. The cabin is new. It is in perfect condition and both thoughtfully and lovingly decorated. We absolutely loved it and did not want to leave. Our hosts paid attention to every detail and it was very much appreciated. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. The tv is huge and my kids very much appreciated it. I cannot say enough positive things about our hosts. Wonderful people--gracious, kind and very thoughtful. We appreciated their sharing their amazing home with us and we will ABSOLUTELY come back!!! We highly recommend your staying at The Treehouse :-). PS: The airport is an hour away and Reykjavik is only 45 minutes. We used this is a base to take day trips to The Golden Circle, Snaefellsnes Peninsula, Reykjavik, etc. There is also plenty to do on this fjord (Hvalfjordur) and all within just a few minutes of the house---there are multiple waterfalls, a museum, black sand beaches, seals, and a geothermal hot springs bath. In addition and for history lovers, this fjord was home to a historic meeting between Churchill and Roosevelt in 1941. That resulted in over 200 naval ships and up to 40,000 US troops being stationed here as part of codename, operation Falcon Crest in an effort to protect Iceland.

Positive: Beautiful and cozy home! Spotlessly clean, thoughtfully decorated, and very comfortable all around. The views were fantastic too. Nice hot showers and really handy to have a washing machine. Great location convenient to the Golden Circle, the wonderful Hvammsvik Hot Springs just across the fjord, the Snaefellsnes Penninsula, and an easy drive into Reykjavik. We were lucky to see incredible Northern Lights multiple nights during our stay, and also enjoyed many beautiful sunrises. WiFi and TV worked seamlessly. Excellent communication from the hosts. We look forward to staying again someday!
