This listing is for 1 (#112 Dot) of the 2 charming Twin Cottages! They sit on private property with 55 feet of sandy lake frontage with a private dock and boat anchors. The 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottages have been freshened up from top to bottom. Dot has 2 Queen bedrooms (plus a queen sofa bed in the living room). Paper products and all linens are supplied. You will just need to bring your beach towels. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and in the living-room - Wifi - Smart TV with Cable - 2 Fire pits are shared between the 2 cottages.
No need to waste time at the boat launch on a daily basis. Instead, walk out onto our private dock and come and go as you please. Sandy bottom lake with a very gradual depth drop, making it great for kids and adults alike. Enjoy one of the most beautiful lakes and Sunsets you will ever see.
Each cottage comes with a small gas grill (there is also a shared charcoal grill), some chairs and a shared fire pit behind the cottages & another fire pit lakeside. The cottages are NON SMOKING.
The Twins are on the Northeast side of Higgins Lake (Sunset Side), located about 5 miles from Roscommon and 3 miles from I-75 exit 244. The cottages face the road end, but it's just a very short walk down the semi wooded lakefront lot to our private beach.

Summary: We arrived early and had property had no problem accommodating us throughout our stay. The moorings out front were a big help with the pontoon boat we were able to rent and the location was quiet and tranquil. We really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Great cottage & location. Late September visit was extremely quiet & peaceful. Property, conditions, amenities exactly as described, (actually better than described). Host’s communication was prompt & concise. Definitely coming back, want to experience in all seasons!

Summary: As most vacations are, the time spent at The Twins (Dot) was too short! We had a very cozy, quiet time in the woods and the very quaint lakefront area. We had some windy weather and weren't able to have a bonfire each night, but the final night afforded us a very nice multiple hour bonfire making s'mores and relaxing. The cabin was very clean and with many more general-purpose items (towels, plates, pots/pans/etc.) that allowed us to be very comfortable in a new rental. We wouldn't hesitate to return any time of the year, and we would love to check out the Higgins Lake area in the summertime! Thank you for having us!

Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at Dot! Cabin is super clean and well equipped. Wish weather had cooperated, but hey it’s Michigan. Nice touches such as linens and paper products, coffee, filters and spices. Good quality cookware should u need it. Quiet neighborhood but I was here during the week after Labor Day. Thanks for the stay!
