Positive: Lovely location to base yourself from
Negative: Certainly not as described (pictures are a few years old!) no full English brekkie even though photos contain pics of it, all continental, EV charger out of action but no signage and whole place looks run down and in need of some tlc - we got the impression it is being run down as an establishment, certainly not 4 star - we were a group of 6 and all of us thought it was 2 star at best. Staff try really hard but not supported by owners to make it as per advertised. Real shame as it clearly was much nicer a few years ago.
Summary: Expensive, not 4 star/4 rosette, sadly disappointing.

Positive: Rooms very easy to access with great parking. Smart TV that can be connected to your own TV Subscriptions etc. Comfy bed.
Negative: Room had a basic clean before we arrived. Lots of dust under the chair in corner and under another desk chair. Clearly not vaccuumed before arrival. In hotel corridor the fire extinguisher had someone's name written on it in the dust. I wiped surfaces in room and the wipe was filthy in dust afterwards. Headboard, TV, charts etc.

Positive: Close to The farmers Dog, pool table and dart board in hotel bar. Bar lady was lovely
Negative: We were the room next to stairs and at night it was very noisy hearing people slam the doors and coming up the stairs. Rubbish left in shower, no netting on window so if curtains not closed anyone walking past or parking car can see right in. Bedding was immaculate, room overall was ok but hotel/rooms overall needs a overhall. It has so much poteintial to be a so much more, deffinatley not a 4 star. No food available in the night and breakfast is now only contiential
Summary: Nice enough but not a 4 star

Positive: Location and friendly staff
Negative: Disappointed to find out that there was no cooked breakfast. Tea, toast, cereal and fruit juice only. For the price we paid we would have expected a full English?

Positive: An idyllic picturesque property. The rooms are lovely and in keeping with the property. Mini fridge in the room which was perfect for dog foods as this is a dog friendly property (the Q&As are outdated on booking.com). Staff were so friendly too. Suggestions for the property would be: dog towels in the rooms / entry to the pub. Dog waste bags & bins on site.
Negative: We booked this hotel as it mentioned EV Charging. However this was broke at the time. So if you’re a future guest please check this. Booking.com is also out of date by stating there is an on site restaurant. This is no longer the case. With this, we were expecting the included breakfast to be cooked, but it was continental. Nevertheless, the perfect options were available. However, in the evening, the pub does allow you to book a table and they’ll provide tableware for you to order take aways which I absolutely loved.
Summary: Perfect. But booking.com needs updating

Positive: The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was lovely. Very accommodating for our dog.
Negative: Overall it's a bit tired and missing the Cotswold character. It felt like more cleaning was needed as the stairs had moths, bugs and spider webs in it. Overall, the hotel needed more effort put into it. Our room was very small and hot and we only had a quilt on the bed, no top sheet. Why do hotels continue to do this and not adjust bedding for the season?
Summary: A friendly stay

Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Easy to find. Big towels. They provided a room fan in the hot weather. Easy parking. Bar staff were good.
Negative: The door to room 106 sticks. There were no toiletries in the room. The soap holder was empty. The shower head needed a good clean as only a dribble of water was flowing before I cleaned it. There was no chef in the pub/restaurant, hence I have no dinner.
Summary: Convenient for Brize & Local Businesses but it needs some TLC.

Positive: Lady that ran the bar extremely friendly and provided excellent service. Bed was clean and also bathroom. Fabulous location.
Negative: Carpets all could either have a thoroughly good cleaning or preferably replaced. Breakfast very overcooked and incredibly small portion - waiter had no personality whatsoever.
Summary: Room for improvement
