Summary: Warm, beautifully designed and a great welcome basket. The underfloor heating kept the Chapel lovely and warm (when it switched off at night there were a few loud bangs as the wooden floor contracted). The attention to detail was superb from the fitted kitchen and appliances to the soft furnishings, lamps and pictures. It was lovely to have the goodies in the welcome basket after travelling. The location of the Chapel meant that shops and cafes were in easy reach, both walking and driving in the area. The outside side walkway where the bins were, was fine for our little dog and the small seating area.

Summary: Chapel house was a very pretty, cleverly designed to accommodate 4 people very comfortably, made all the better for being able to take my daughter’s dog! It’s got everything you need to make it a home from home, the kitchen is very well equipped, the sitting room comfortable with a lovely log burner (easy to use), a big utility room and both bedrooms were so lush! For us the only downside was you have no control over the heating and it was too hot for us and certainly for the dog as it was underfloor heating, probably loved by most people and dogs! You could open a couple of windows. (Not in the rain though) but it would kick start the boiler on if temperature dropped too much! The boiler came on at 430 am for a long time in the morning and seemed to ‘kettle’ a bit so was noisy. The outside tap could do with a small hose on it so one could wash the dog after some very muddy long walks( great countryside!) We did lots of circular walks from the house which took us to pubs en route! All that moaning aside I would happily recommend this place to anyone! It was a joy to stay in, and Shelley was very quick to respond which was great ( thank you for the treats on arrival!)

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in Chapel House which is located in a lovely village with a Co-Op, Bakers and plenty of pubs. The house is 30 min drive to some of the lovely Cotswolds villages which we really enjoyed. We also had some nice walks around the outskirts of the village. The only real issue we had with the premises was the heating. We were unable to adjust the under floor heating and it became unbearably hot in the evenings.

Summary: Stayed as a family of three, and this property was exactly what we were looking for. It was such a lovely welcoming and comfortable property with everything you could need inside, and the perfect place from which to explore the surrounding area. Some lovely pubs and cafes nearby, and other places to visit a short car ride away. We will certainly be back!

Summary: Chapel House is a wonderfully converted chapel, exceedingly comfortable and very warm thanks to the underfloor heating. We had been looking forward to using the log burner, assuming it would be on the cool side as a very old building, but we were very warm so didn't have any need for a fire. This is a nice thing to be disappointed about!! Bampton is a charming village with lots of history. It's also very convenient for many other lovely Cotswold towns and Blenheim Palace. Storm Darragh curtailed some of our plans, but we had a great week despite the weather. Stay Cotswold was a very easy company to deal with, from the booking stage right through to the end of the holiday. Shelley, the property manager, was particularly helpful and we can't thank her enough.

Summary: The property was really clean, renovated to a high standard and very well equiped. A lovely place to stay. Our only comment is that the heating was set at too high a temperature and we could not turn it either off or down. We had brought logs for the wood burner but could not use and struggled to open windows. I appreciate that the owner did not want the controls messed with but it was quite uncomfortable; the temperature should be lower or there at least be the ability to switch the whole thing off.
