Summary: We rented Washington House at Caboose Farm for a family vacation. It is in a beautiful setting and a great location, (well within 40 minutes) to visiting historical sites and other fun activities in the area, including hiking, Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry, good restaurants, wineries, escape rooms, and parks. There is also convenient grocery shopping nearby. We had a wonderful time!.

Summary: We rented this house as it was a middle meeting point for a small group of us. The house was great. The Property Manager was great and came to check in and make sure things were good. We had a great stay! Would definitely recommend bringing a few throw blankets as it can get pretty chilly inside even with the heat on. Beds were comfortable. We are hoping to stay again this fall! Great time! The view of the pond is beautiful!

Summary: We used the Washington house for Friendsgiving! Colby was more than accommodating. We needed a long table and a short one for the food and additional seating and when we arrived Colby had it in the home already for us. The house was more than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably as well

Summary: My stay was better than I imagined! The house was beautiful and in a beautiful location. It was clean and even prettier in person. We all had our room and bathrooms. It was great having our own space! The only issue was it seemed that the heat wasn’t working but with everyone in the house it didn’t bother us. We were even able to extend our checkout time which made the next morning relaxing and easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Summary: My youngest daughter is living here in Maryland. She is pregnant with her first child. We decided to fly from Utah to surprise her with a baby shower. It was so much fun to uabe a place to hang out and spend time together. The view in the morning from the master bedroom was amazing. We loved to see the fire flies, the wild life and even the resident bullfrog that welcomed us. The check in and communication was great throughout our stay. We will definitely come back.

Summary: Colby was an excellent host. He was there when I arrived and went over the house and property with me and was helpful with area activities! The house is very comfortably decorated and equipped. All beds are very good quality. There is plenty of room for 16 people. The pond on the property offered the kids a fun time for catch and release fishing. Although, a fire pit would be a bonus! Overall, our family gathering of 14 for the 4th of July weekend had a wonderful stay! Would recommend for a quiet peaceful getaway.

Summary: Our stay was for 3 days over President's weekend and the house was exactly what we needed. Well appointed with old world character and modern updates. The location in the Catoctin Mountain Park was awesome and we were able to hike from the house to the Cunningham Falls (about 4.5 mile round trip). The staff were very responsive to our calls (power went out just after we arrived and then the septic tank alarm went off) although one disappointment was when we were told it would be a $75 "supervision" fee for us to light a fire in the fire pit which was not included in the property information. The outside light above the sliding doors to the parking area is only an emergency light (this did not help the late arriving guests who could not see to unpack their cars). All of that said we would return to this property in the future because the house was exactly what we needed, it was only an hour from Baltimore and the Mountain Park location was beautiful. Thanks Colby and team!

Summary: Once a year, the women of my family gather for a weekend. We are cousins, aunts, grandmothers, sisters-in-law - ages 28-82. We had a wonderful time at Washington house. The rooms are lovely, the kitchen has plenty of dishes, pans, glassware with lots of space when many hands are on deck. The living room is very comfortable -- small enough for one conversation across the room and large enough for three separate ones! We asked Colby for a table and sixteen chairs in advance and he had them ready when we arrived. We used these to create a long dining table for all of us AND for games, coloring, and conversations throughout the weekend. The grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking, very comfortable -- just perfect! We are planning to come back next year and may need to book an additional house to accomodate a large group!
