Positive: One block from the beach Wi-Fi worked very well Bathroom and kitchen, though tiny, are clean and remodeled fairly recently. Two nice beach bikes available (rent or BYO lock as none provided) Cabana for beach provided; beach chairs on property are camp style so we rented reclining ones. Exterior paint job is fairly new and cheerful.
Negative: Overall kind of dark and dingy feel, some surprisingly old or stained items like the main bedspread. No central air; ceiling fans and open windows worked for us but if it had been warmer I think it may have been uncomfortable. (There are two window AC units, one in living room, one in bedroom.) A sofa bed is advertised for use but when I checked it out I would not have wanted to sleep on it—one of those old metal frames and a super thin mattress.
Summary: “Old Florida” style shouldn’t mean just old

Positive: I loved the little house, pool and closeness to the beach.
Negative: There was thick black mold growing inside the air conditioner, noticed it on the side of the frig, and floor kind of under the couch. Black mold was so bad inside the air conditioners. Easy to see without looking, I noticed when I tried to turn the vent away from me while lying on the bed. We shut them off and covered with blankets. My son and I developed a cough from the mold. Maybe its moldy everywhere in Florida. I would recommend throwing away those air conditioner and getting new ones. Black mold can make you sick. That is the only complaint. I would be leery of staying there in summer because you would need an air conditioner.... wouldn't want to use a moldy one. otherwise, I loved the place so cute.
